The Circuit Clerk is the official record keeper of the Court.

All Civil, Probate, Traffic, Criminal, and Juvenile cases are filed through the Clerk's office.

Also collects and disperses all monies ordered to be paid by the court.

Provides an alternative school giving students another change to succeed. Offering tools, support and different teaching methods to help students learn in the way that works best for them. 

Offers 60-minute individual sessions that takes place with a personal therapist in a private studio. Cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, yoga, art therapy, music therapy, and play therapy are just a few of the options available during sessions. Exercise activities include paddle boarding, weightlifting, biking, running and tennis.

Offers health education on teen pregnancy, heart disease, injury prevention, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV/AIDS.

Wize Girls is a program for girls in 6th, 7th and 8th graders that meet weekly during the school year. Program is available year-round at no cost, with services including special projects, community-based education, transportation, and recreation services. 

Provides dental and oral health screenings, oral health education, nutrition education relating to oral health, fluoride varnish applications, and a referral to a dentist for comprehensive oral health services. The program targets pregnant women and children under age 21. VNS Dental Voucher Program is for children under 21 years old, who are without dental insurance and meet income guidelines.

Provides health-related services, such as administering oral medications, help with simple prescribed exercises, keeping patient’s rooms neat, and help patients to move from bed, bathe, dress and groom

Tax preparation assistance for low to moderate income individuals and families.

Locations for filing in 2026 (for 2025 taxes - scheduling begins Jan 15, 2026):

- Hastings Public Library (314 North Denver Avenue, Hastings): Wed 3 pm-5 pm (Feb 11, 18, 25; Mar 11, 18, 25), Sat 10 am-12 pm (Apr 4).

- Multicultural Coalition (325 West 4th Street, Grand Island): Wed 9 am-12 pm and 3 pm-6 pm (Feb 11-Apr 8).

- Virtual/Remote Tax Preparation (online - Zoom/phone): Feb 1-Apr 8.

When scheduling a tax preparation appointment, choose a site location, date, and time.

All sites listed will be face-to-face and require an appointment.

Facilitated self-assistance (FSA) Self-Prepared is available.

Provides behavioral mental health services for, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction and related issues, eating disorders and related issues, self-harm, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and grief.

Crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Crisis line available 24 hours.

Emergency shelter, food, transportation, and limited financial assistance.

Advocacy for medical, legal, and economic needs.

Information and referrals.

Public awareness and community education programs.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Provides substance use assessments and case management services for courts across Illinois.

Clients may be mandated to TASC as an alternative to incarceration at the time of sentencing, or they may be referred post-sentence when they're on probation. TASC case managers conduct clinical assessments, advocate for treatment for those who need it, develop individualized service plans, and place clients into treatment and recovery support services. TASC also reports client progress to the court, and provides monitoring and guidance as clients work their way through the recovery process.
