Family's Helping Hand is a non profit that operates out of the Family Resource Center to assist families and bridge gaps that will directly lead to better outcomes for families. Some of the resources Family’s Helping Hand can provide are a mini food pantry including formula/baby food, clothes closet, and household and hygiene supplies. Volunteer opportunities are available. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Provides access to free menstruation products. Products can be ordered by calling our agency or filling out an application online. Delivery of these products is available for Grand Island, Wood River, and Alda areas.

Decorah Community Food Pantry provides free food including canned products, meats, produce and dry goods; household items including cleaning supplies, paper products; and personal hygiene products may available. Donations of products and cash accepted. Individuals and families may visit once a week. People select their own items amount based on family size. Offers a personal pantry which includes soap, shampoo, feminine care products, toilet tissue, deodorant, diapers, and toothpaste (based on donations/availability).

Provides daily living essentials to anyone in the service area. Individuals should limit their requests to one time per month. The program provides items not available through other sources. Free will donations are accepted. Examples of items provided include toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Provides necessary food, clothing and hygiene products to those in need in Jackson, Delaware and Dubuque Counties.
