Offering a food pantry that can be used once every 30 days for non-perishable items as well as produce, dairy, frozen meats, and bread items. Story County residents can utilize The Market once per week for perishable refrigerated items such as dairy products, meat, pre-made salads, and pre-packaged items as well as fresh produce, and breads/bakery items.

The Family Pantry is also available for use once every 30 days and offers hygiene items, diapers/pullups, wipes, toilet paper, soaps and cleaners, and more.

Offers a personal pantry which includes soap, shampoo, feminine care products, toilet tissue, deodorant, diapers, and toothpaste (based on donations/availability).

Street-based outreach services runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness, near-homelessness, or street dependency.

Drop-in center services include food, basic first aid and hygiene supplies, advocacy, education and information, and referrals to appropriate community service providers. A nurse is onsite three days per week and offers testing for sexually transmitted diseases.

Provides food and personal grooming supplies for people in need. Donations of food and grooming supplies appreciated.

This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs. Must meet income guidelines.

Provides emergency assistance and referral services. Emergency assistance includes help wiith food, clothing and personal grooming items.

Provides personal hygiene or care items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and diapers when available. Can be used every month.

Emergency housing offers a safe haven for persons in need. The shelter provides a warm bed, three meals per day, shower and laundry facilities, personal hygiene items, clothing, and supportive services to link homeless individuals with case management. Guests may also ask for help with GED tutoring and employment services.

General Clothing Provision

Provides food and personal hygiene grooming products, including diapers, to families in need. Food vouchers to local grocery stores for fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, milk, bread, potatoes, cheese, laundry soap, dish soap and toilet paper may also be available.

Daily shelter with a capacity for 10-15 people. Meals provided daily. Showers also available.

GDC serves low income, homeless and/or recently incarcerated individuals. Services include:

-- Free or low-cost tattoo removal program

-- Economic assistance to obtain State ID, birth certificate, and applying for social security

-- Mental health group/individual therapy

-- Assistance with employment process

-- Stress reduction classes

-- Bus tickets*

-- Opportunity for community services

*Class schedules are limited to a certain number of participants and are scheduled on certain days. Bus ticket availability will vary by day.

When funding allows, may be able to help with limited financial assistance for basic needs such as childcare payments, rent, rent deposits, utilities, food, hygiene products, car repairs, transportation, prescription costs, etc., through the Community Services Block Grant. Eligibility requirements will apply, and ongoing case management will be required. Contact your local County Outreach Office for more information.

Family's Helping Hand is a non profit that operates out of the Family Resource Center to assist families and bridge gaps. Resources include a mini food pantry including formula/baby food, and household and hygiene supplies.
