Family's Helping Hand is a non profit that operates out of the Family Resource Center to assist families and bridge gaps that will directly lead to better outcomes for families. Some of the resources Family’s Helping Hand can provide are a mini food pantry including formula/baby food, clothes closet, and household and hygiene supplies. Volunteer opportunities are available. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

The Allamakee County Food Pantry provides food for people in need. Food baskets provide fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food items. In addition, non-food items such as diapers, formula, hygiene products, and cleaning products may be available. The supply given is based on need and size of the family. Donations and volunteers are welcome.

Individuals can receive personal care items such as hygiene items and cleaning supplies.

Emergency personal care pantry with several days' worth of home/hygiene items. The pantry is intended to provide home/hygiene goods to the individual until they can be on their feet. Hygiene goods are accessible to people experiencing homelessness or those living in situations.

When funding allows, may be able to help with limited financial assistance for basic needs such as childcare payments, rent, rent deposits, utilities, food, hygiene products, car repairs, transportation, prescription costs, etc., through the Community Services Block Grant. Eligibility requirements will apply, and ongoing case management will be required. Contact your local County Outreach Office for more information.

Street-based outreach services runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness, near-homelessness, or street dependency.

Drop-in center services include food, basic first aid and hygiene supplies, advocacy, education and information, and referrals to appropriate community service providers. A nurse is onsite three days per week and offers testing for sexually transmitted diseases.

Low-barrier, choice-food pantry. Visitors will receive a shopping cart and have access to personal care and household items (once a month) and wide variety of dry goods, refrigerated/frozen items, and other perishables. All items are subject to availability.

Choice food pantry and personal care items are available. Can visit each time it is open.

Provides a local food pantry affiliated with 14 Morrison churches. Along with food, the pantry has laundry detergent, cleaning products, toothpaste, toilet paper, feminine products, and diapers. Other personal/grooming supplies are available as they are donated. Clients can access the pantry once per month.

Offers personal hygiene items and laundry/dish soap as they are available.

Offers both a clothing and personal care items pantry to anyone in need. Items are limited based on family size. Clothing from infant to adult, shoes winter gear and accessories. Must make an appointment, see application process for more information. Available once every 60 days due to appointment availability limits.
