Hotline to report fraud, waste, program abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, conflict of interest and contact/grant fraud by DHHS employees, and beneficiaries.

Most complaints fall in the following categories:

- Crime, gross misconduct, or conflicts of interest involving HHS employees/contractor.

​- Fraud, waste, or abuse relating to HHS Grants/Contracts, including American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants.

​- False/Fraudulent claims submitted to Medicare/Medicaid.

​- Kickbacks/inducements for referrals by Medicare/Medicaid providers.

​- Medical Identity Theft involving Medicare and/or Medicaid Beneficiaries.

​- Failure of a hospital to evaluate and stabilize an emergency patient.

​- Abuse/neglect in nursing homes and other long term care facilities.

Ensures consumer protection and promotes the responsible use of our natural resources, also responsible for Food Safety and Animal Health divisions, including meat processing regulation, pesticide application, grain warehouses and dairy production and processing. The Weights and Measures Bureau ensures buyers and sellers are treated fairly at the gas pump, grocery store or grain elevator.

Offers testing of private wells, well and septic system inspection, radon testing and correction advice. Also provides swimming pool, spa, tanning bed, and tattoo parlor inspections.

Complaints: Receives and investigates complaints dumping and other garbage issues, illegal burning, and animal bites. When possible, works with tenant complaints regarding rental home conditions.

People can find out about the laws that deal with their concern and report to the appropriate department any violations or problems they see in the community.

Problem Resolution Team, comprised of all City enforcement and codes compliance agencies and departments, brings problem properties back into compliance with local law.
