Lincoln Chaplaincy Corps Clergy from the community volunteer at least one 24-hour duty day to the city to respond to calls for assistance from the Police and Fire Departments. Chaplains are provided monthly in-service training, a radio, city car, pager and proper identification; specific services include counseling and referral, follow-up to Police and Fire Department calls, counseling to Police/Fire employees, community-based response, and death notification calls.

Full time fire department that is staffed all year around. Besides responding to emergency requests, the department is committed to fire prevention measures through three strategies:

- Fire safety education for children, young adults, and senior citizens through a fire station visit or site visit. Fire safety education includes safe cooking, escaping the home during a fire, and general fire safety in the home. Senior citizen safety education includes fall prevention and how to contact 911.

- The Juvenile Firesetter Program is a voluntary 4-step education program for children 4-18 years old who exhibit signs of fire setting behavior.

- The Fire Department supports citizens who need assistance with smoke detector maintenance and will install smoke detectors in the home, if requested.

Offers emergency fire and rescue assistance through the 911 emergency number.
Wayne County Fire Response can provide contact information for all fire and emergency response units in Wayne County dispatched through the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. In case of emergency call 911.

ARSON HOTLINE is available to anyone who has knowledge about possible cases of arson where fires have occurred. Caller can remain anonymous.
