Offers partial foot health assessments from a skilled nurse. Services include foot assessments, blood pressure checks, pulse checks, lung assessments, general foot care and diabetic foot care, warm foot soak, trimming of nails/calluses using clippers or a dremel, lotion application/gentle massage, and education on proper foot care.
A foot care services including foot soak, examination of feet for ingrown toenails, infection, corns or callouses. Nails will be cut or trimmed as needed, followed by a foot massage.

Health screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and vision.

Immunizations offered monthly during the winter months.

Nursing and physician assistance students from Union College provide foot care, including soaking feet and trimming toenails to non-diabetic adults. Individuals receive free socks (each month) and free shoes (every 6 months). Offered every semester from September-November and February-April.

Serves seniors with the goal of helping them remain safe and in their homes for as long as possible. The program focuses on chronic disease prevention, nutrition, and physical activity. Department nurses offer low-cost foot care and blood pressure screenings, home visitations, and educational presentations. Staff works with community partners, reaching most program participants through senior centers, churches, and independent senior living communities.

Provides health care services in the home by registered nurses. Services include infusion therapy, central venous catheter care and injections, wound and catheter care, gait training, and health education. Also offers physical, occupational, and speech therapists, medical social workers, certified nursing assistants, and telehealth nursing.

Pediatric Home Nursing: Provides care according to the patients' needs and the doctor's orders, including both extended stay and skilled visits. Provides in-home care for complex pediatric clients such as those using ventilators, IV and TPN needs, trachs, g-tubes, central lines, respiratory medication, and monitoring equipment.

Health-Related Clinics: Offered in various locations, including seasonal influenza and pneumonia vaccinations, foot-care clinics, and community wellness screenings.

Hospice Care: Provides medical care, symptom and pain management, and support to persons with a limited life expectancy and their families. Registered nurses, chaplains, home health aides, volunteers, social workers, and homemakers provide service in the home or in a residential hospice facility setting.

Palliative Care: Provides pain and non-pain symptom management for patients with serious and life-threatening illness. Consultative services are provided with care centered on the needs of the patient and family, providing counseling about the disease and assistance in identifying the patient's personal goals for care.

Care For Yourself: Early detection of breast and cervical cancer for women age 50 and over, including mammograms and Pap tests. Must meet income guidelines. Call (515) 281-7689.

Family Planning/Reproductive Health: Offers confidential services for adolescents and adults to help guide decisions regarding reproductive healthcare needs. Clinic hours are Wed 8 am-4:30 pm, Thu 8 am-4:30 pm (by appointment only), Fri 8 am-12 pm.

i-Smile: Dental services for children ages 0-21, including dental screenings, preventive fluoride, dental care education, sealants to children in 2nd through 8th grades, and help making dentist appointments.

Maternal Health: Prenatal program providing information and education to pregnant women on having a healthy pregnancy and getting ready for their baby.

Senior Health: Services for seniors 60 years of age and older, including health education, blood pressure screenings, foot clinics, and the I-Smile Silver program.

WIC (WOMEN, INFANTS, CHILDREN): Nutrition information for pregnant women, new mothers, and mothers with children under age 5. Can provide $50 or more a month for groceries, even if already employed and/or receiving food stamps; must be Medicaid-eligible.
