Peer Advocates are volunteers over the age of 60 who are available to help other people, age 60 or older, with a variety of situations, concerns, problems, or questions. Services include:

HELP with questions or just someone to talk to.

Rent Reimbursement - The Rent Reimbursement program is through DHHS. PEER assists people with filling out Online or Paper form applications. This is a one time, per year program, not a monthly or emergency rental assistance program, for those who meet eligibility requirements.

SHIIP - Can help do drug plan, MA or supplemental comparisons. As well as educate New to Medicare enrollees with process and how to get enrolled in plans.

HAWK-I is health care coverage for uninsured children under the age of 19 who meet income guidelines. Once the child is enrolled coverage lasts for 12 months and must be renewed every year. MCPH is available for assistance with completing and application or a renewal.
