Once a report has been filed, a caseworker will make a home visit to investigate any allegations of abuse and assist the victim. Services may be offered during and following an initial assessment to protect the child and improve the conditions that contributed to the risk of abuse and neglect. Services that may be offered include in-home family therapy, family support services, day care, case management, and temporary foster care.

Provides help to senior citizens, who might otherwise need nursing home care, to remain in their own homes by providing in-home and community-based services. Services include, comprehensive care coordination, adult day services, in-home services such as cleaning, meals, laundry, shopping/running errands, and personal hygiene, emergency home response service, and automated medication dispenser service.

Abuses of the nature defined by the Adult Protective Services program are a type of domestic violence that have a strong and lasting impact on adults with disabilities and older adults of our community.
