Provides parole supervision to individuals released to the community by the Iowa Board of Parole from a state prison, institution, or residential facility before the end of their sentence. Services include monitoring, risk and needs assessments, case planning, referrals to community services and treatment, and assistance with meeting the conditions of parole.

Provides and coordinates services for students who are experiencing attendance problems. Program offers a variety of prevention and intervention services. These services include:

• Attendance incentives
• Student advocacy

• Home visits

• Referral to agencies for counseling
• Technical assistance to individual school districts and the community

Provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities a wide range of activities and supports that promote independence and personal choice for each participant. Individuals have the opportunity to participate in activities that focus on fine and gross motor skills, safety, problem-solving, activities of daily living, communication, and quantitative skills. Will also work on reducing maladaptive behaviors and promoting adaptive behaviors, as well as enhancing individuals’ capacity for independent living.

Program also includes opportunities for individuals to engage in work activities, opportunities for socialization, leisure skill acquisition, community outings, and recreational activities. 

Provides emergency food boxes with canned fruits and vegetables, tomatoes, soups, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, pasta and pasta sauce, meal starters like "Hamburger Helper", tuna and chicken, rice, beans, juice, breakfast cereals, fresh fruit vegetables, meat, and bread items (some items may be out of stock). Services may also include a voucher to get milk, eggs, margarine, and bananas that is good for seven days.

Provides assistance to people with little to no income in obtaining pro bono legal assistance from area lawyers and attorneys in specialized fields while also providing compassion, empathy, and a listening ear to all who come seeking help. Through the CCLS program, the program director matches a client's legal case with an area lawyer who has agreed to represent him/her in the court of law.

CCLS provides assistance in the areas of adoption, bankruptcy, child custody and support, debt elimination, employment, environmental issues, family Law, guardianship, immigration, landlord-tenant disputes, real estate transactions, social security benefits, traffic accidents, and wills and probate.

Social detox and short-term residential treatment for chemically dependent adults.

Clients participate in a minimum of 42 hours of scheduled therapeutic interventions per week, including individual therapy, group therapy, family/couples therapy, educational programming, and networking with the 12-step community.

Helps provide a continuum of care for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Clients in the program will be assigned a medical case manager. Case managers can assist clients by linking them with a network of health care and support services. Services may include:

Provides support from someone who has their own experiences with mental health challenges, or from a family member of a child with a mental health diagnosis. This help comes from a trained staff member. The support is focused on each person's individual needs. It may also include helping with services and speaking up for the person when needed. Acts as a mentor or guide to help someone on their path to feeling better.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Provides comprehensive psychiatric, mental health, and substance use screens, assessment, treatment, and referrals in a safe and confidential environment. Services include:

Nutrition education and counseling, supplemental foods, and information for women, children, and infants about other health services based on assessment findings.

Licenses and Permits: driver's licenses, motorcycle licenses, chauffeur's license photo identification ($5) and permits for commercial licenses are obtained at this site. The Iowa driver's license knowledge examination is printed in the following languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bosnian, Burmese, Cambodian, Chinese, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hmong, Italian, Korean, Laotian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Individuals may consult with their local driver's license examiner if special translation arrangements are needed.

REAL ID can be obtained at the DOT office. Beginning October 1, 2020, TSA will require that you show a REAL ID-compliant license or ID to go through airport security. The REAL ID will also allow entrance into Federal or nuclear facilities. Documents required include proof of identification (official birth certificate with a seal, valid U.S. passport, or most recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services immigration or refugee document), proof of social security number (social security card or W-2/1099), proof of residency (2 items showing your name and address where you live, no PO boxes e.g. utility bill, credit card bill statement, pay stub), proof of any legal name changes (marriage certificate, divorce decree, court order under petition for name change).

Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities.
