Provides a comprehensive job center that offers support to assist individuals in becoming successfully employed, including employment workshops, computerized job search tools, and assistive technology for people with visual, hearing, or physical disabilities. The office administers unemployment compensation for those who have lost their jobs and manages workers' compensation programs. These programs provide income replacement, medical expense coverage, and vocational rehabilitation for employees who have suffered work-related injuries or occupational diseases.

Iowa Department of Health and Human Services - Floyd County
Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Provides an online resource to help Illinois residents find all local food resources in one spot through a website called "EatMoveSave." Resources include food pantries, SNAP and WIC offices, senior food resources, school and summer meal sites, farmers markets, and grocery stores. Offers a variety of health and nutrition education programs for the community, including the expanded food and nutrition education program. Services may also include the supplemental nutrition assistance education program (SNAP-Ed) for low-income families.

Offers specialized bereavement support for adults and children, including grief support groups as well as family and child events. Support groups for young widows and widowers and grieving parents, and a week-long day camp for grieving children (Good Grief Day Camp).

- A free, appropriate public education including a priority to preschool programs.
- The choice of staying in the school of origin or attending the school nearest their shelter or temporary home.
- Immediate enrollment even when medical records cannot be produced at time of enrollment.
- Assistance with transportation, if needed.

Siena Francis House Emergency Shelter - Women's Shelter and Men's Shelter
Provides 104 bed emergency shelter for women. Services include three meals daily, advocacy and case management, sack lunched for those going to work, and access to medical, dental and mental health care resources.
Health clinics include:
- Charles Drew Medical Clinic: Schedule varies weekly. Patients must schedule appointment through clinic; call (402) 345-9860.
- Visiting Nurse Association: Monday and Thursday in the Services Center from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm, and in the Baright Shelter from 3:30 pm-7 pm.
- Creighton University Magis Clinic: Saturday afternoon medical clinic.

Van transportation may be available for a fee.
Iowa City VA Clinic
Provides long-term care to help veterans and their families when dealing with a disability, chronic (long-lasting) illness, or serious health issues related to aging. Long-term health care services include 24 hour nursing and medical care, physical therapy, and help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, making meals, and taking medicine.
