Offers to advocate for community members with understanding civil rights and responsibilities when dealing with the government, employers, or other service providers. Examples of advocacy services, IEP advocacy for students, information on Social Security/Disability benefits application and appeals. Outings through senior centers located throughout Lancaster County.

Transportation to and from senior center and group events (suggested contribution).

Supports young adults to help them as they transition from the child welfare system to adulthood without permanent placement, while establishing a relationship with ILS staff.

Aftercare is offered at the Children's Square Campus.

Mini shelters are available for displaced persons who suffer loss of homes due to fire, tornadoes, transience, domestic disputes, or homelessness. Shelters are guarded and locations are confidential.

Free smoke alarm installation.

Offers assistance when funding is available, to individuals and families who are past due on their rent or utility payments and are at risk of becoming homeless or are homeless due to a recent financial crisis affecting their ability to pay housing costs. If funding available, may also be able to help with car repair assistance.

Provides dental care services for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. 

Assists the needs of people living on the streets (outside, abandoned buildings, in cars, etc.) in the Omaha Metro area who are interested in connecting with housing and/or other services.

Services provided are:

- Screening and referral for housing programs;

- Information and referrals for mainstream benefits (SNAP, Medicaid, GA, etc.);

- Emergency supplies (food, water, blankets, hygiene items);

- Connection to emergency shelter, if desired;

- Case Management;

- Basic health assessments and connections to long-term mental and primary healthcare.

Provides housing opportunities.

Free primary care clinic which provides medical, dental, vision, and mental health services.

Physical and occupational therapy available monthly; dates vary, call for details.

Behavioral health and social services, including psychiatric diagnosis and evaluation, psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, counseling, health and wellness education, and assessment and case management for community resource needs.

Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

Early intervention for children ages birth to three who are experiencing any developmental delay or have high medical needs.
