Hospice is appropriate for any individual diagnosed with a progressive, life-limiting illness or condition with a prognosis of six months or less, if the illness or condition were to take its normal course. The program seeks to help clients live final months comfortably at home, rather than seeking ongoing curative treatments.

Hospice care includes 24/7 availability for consultation and urgent visits, distribution of medications and durable medical equipment related to terminal diagnosis, personal care needs and companionship provided by hospice aides and volunteers, personalized Veteran services, emotional and spiritual support from team of social workers and pastoral staff and bereavement services for all loved ones for 18 months following hospice care.

Preschool scholarship program pays for a portion of preschool expenses for children ages 3-5. Parents must meet certain income guidelines and choose an approved preschool.

Paratransit transportation for Siouxland area including, but not limited to, individuals with disabilities: -- Individuals must complete an application for assistance and 21 days must be allowed to process the application. -- Door-to-door service is available and costs $3.60 each way. -- If the individual can get to the curb, then curb-to-curb service costs $3.60 each way. Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) is a demand-responsive, ADA accessible, public transit system which provides public transportation services to the general public of Cherokee, Ida, Monona, Plymouth and Woodbury counties in Iowa and Southern Union County in South Dakota. Buses are equipped with a mobility device lift. -- Curb-to-curb is defined as the individual waiting at the curb when the vehicle arrives and the individual is dropped off at the curb. -- Door-to-Door service is defined as the individual waiting outside the door, and will be delivered to the door at his/her destination. -- Each rider is allowed one (1) personal care attendant, and this person will ride free of charge. The attendant must be assisting the client or will be charged for the trip. Please schedule the additional person when making the reservation.

Psychiatric services include, medication assessment, medication monitoring, psychiatric services available in all Sinnissippi Centers' main office locations.

Advocacy services for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Staff and volunteers of the program help ensure that residents enjoy the best possible quality of life by promoting, protecting, and providing education on the rights of residents.

Provides financial help with heating and electric bills. Applications are accepted starting October 1st through August 15th or when funding is exhausted.

October is a priority period reserved for elderly, disabled, families with children 5 and under, and disconnected households. The general population can apply starting November 1st.
