Prairieland Service Coordination
Offers service coordination for persons with developmental disabilities, including comprehensive assessments to identify developmental delays and disabilities. Provides life span individual service coordination and assists the individual and family by conducting a pre-screening to determine need, building relationships with staff, case coordination/management, finding specialized services for individuals with disabilities, and information and referral.
Developmental assessments may involve evaluations of cognitive functioning, communication skills, independent living abilities, social and emotional development, and motor functioning, conducted by a team of professionals to recommend appropriate treatment and care.

Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps eligible low-income households pay for home energy services (primarily heating during winter months). Annual eligibility levels are determined based on available funding and may not exceed 60% of the state median income.
**This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The program will provide supplemental assistance based on several factors. This is a one-time payment to your energy provider.

Offers to work with registered child care providers to improve the nutritional level of the children they serve via nutrition classes and home visits. The program reimburses registered providers for providing USDA approved meals and snacks, thus ensuring the nutrition children need to grow.

Sunrise Center North Therapeutic Riding Program
Provides horse therapy. Offering programs for children and adults with autism (this uses horses and music). Also offers programs for veterans with physical limitations, brain trauma, and/or PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).
In this non-clinical environment, the interaction between the rider and the horse is an effective and unique way of improving the physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities of individuals. Horse therapy provides medical benefits through recreational activities.
Alexander Leigh Center for Autism
Provides full day, year-round Therapeutic Day School approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Students primarily come from local public school districts when the student requires a more intensive placement to meet their needs.
Provides each child individual developmental needs in sensory regulation, communication, rate of learning, style of learning, behaviors, present level performance and previous education experience.
Transition programming teaches life skills needed after school ends at age 22.

Seeks to protect Illinois consumers and businesses victimized by fraud, deception, or unfair methods of competition. Within this division are the Franchise Bureau, Health Care Bureau, Charitable Trusts Bureau, Military and Veterans Rights Bureau, and Consumer Fraud Bureau.
The Consumer Fraud and Health Care Bureaus offer informal dispute resolution programs for consumers with complaints concerning their purchases and health care. Although the attorneys in the AG Office cannot represent any one individual in a lawsuit, a limited mediation program is offered to assist in resolving disputes or complaints filed by individual consumers.
National Organization for Victim Assistance
Offers a victim and witness assistance programs and practitioners, criminal justice agencies and professionals, mental health professionals, researchers, former victims and survivors, and others committed to the recognition and implementation of victim rights and services.

Embarras River Basin Agency (ERBA) - Jasper County
Provides weatherization services to low income households. Helps conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades.
Services vary, but may include insulation, furnace work, and air sealing.
Nebraska Children's Home Society - Omaha
Serves all Nebraska adoptive families - international, domestic infant, private, step-parent and foster adoptive families. Advocates for the special interests of adoptive families and connects families to one another. Six core services include Permanency Support Services, Respite Care Connections, Parent2Parent Network, Mental Health Connections, Training, and Support Groups and Family Activities.
Case management available for up to 180 days. Individualized family plan designed and implemented with the family's input.
Assists post adoptive and guardianship families in locating formal and informal respite providers and can provide financial assistance for respite services (limited). All families who receive financial respite assistance through the program will be asked to attend a training.
Mentoring in partnership with Nebraska Foster and Adoptive Parent Association (NFAPA) to assist in providing peer mentoring services to post adoptive and guardianship families.
Mental health services - locates and refers families to professional post adoption and guardianship providers.
Training opportunities that can support skill building on issues related to adoption.
Support groups and networks for families and youth where social networks can be created and peer support can be achieved.
Salvation Army Heritage Place
Permanent supportive housing programs serving persons that are chronically homeless and have a documented disability. Program participants live in a home of their choosing in the community and pay 30% of their adjusted gross income as rent. The HOME programs pay the rent in full to the landlord/owner of the property. Participants sign a sub-lease that gives full rights, responsibilities and legal protections under Federal, state and local housing laws.
Case management is offered but not required to maintain housing. Information, referrals to community resources, individualized service planning, crisis support and intervention, budgeting and money management, credit and debt counseling, and 24-hour staff accessibility is provided.
North Central Behavioral Health Systems - LaSalle Office
Provides counseling services for both individual treatment and group work. It can be focused on a specific issue or focused on broader patterns of thinking and behavior. Both require an individual to learn new, healthier ways to think and interact.
Online counseling option also available. An online session is conducted the same as an in-person session, with the exception of never having to leave the home or office. The format is face-to-face, in real time, over a computer.
