The commission provides information and technical assistance on community volunteering, volunteer management, mentoring program certification, Service Enterprise Initiative, and volunteer recognition. In addition, the commission administers Iowa's AmeriCorps programs, the Iowa Mentoring Partnership, Governor's Volunteer Awards and Volunteer Hall of Fame.
