SASS provides the following services for children and youth:

• Crisis intervention
• Short-term stabilization where a child is at risk of self-harm, or harming others
• Individual and family psychotherapy/counseling
• Mental health assessment
• Case management and information on community resources
• Psychiatric services

Provides housing assistance to low income residents through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Offers a congregate meal.

Provides food to qualified residents of Platte County when in need of emergency food.

Provides boxing and fitness services to youth. The program works to promote discipline, confidence, self-awareness, and healthy lifestyle habits through structured training sessions. Participants develop physical strength, endurance, coordination, and goal-setting skills as well as learning respect, accountability, perseverance, and teamwork.

Assistive technology services provide alternatives to individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities, who find independence challenging at work, at home, or in the community. Provides evaluations and recommendations, assistance in obtaining funding for equipment, training for the individual and their primary caregiver(s), follow-up, and equipment maintenance. Staff will travel to home, facility, etc.

Provides monthly income for individuals without minor children and without adequate income that can be used to pay for food, rent/shelter, utilities, medical care, or other essential items. General Assistance recipients may be required to participate in the township's Job Search and Training program unless medically exempt.

Accessible transportation for medical appointments, shopping areas, congregate meals, and social activities. May include travel to other counties.

Childhood and adult vaccines and flu shots available.

Provides a food pantry to those in need every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm. 

Provides diapers, period supplies, or incontinence products to those in need. 

The Groundswell Cafe is a pay-it-forward eatery whose mission is to provide a place where everyone has access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of their ability to pay. Offers a simple, healthy menu featuring soups, salads, and sandwiches, with as much of the food as possible supplied by what is grown on the Cultivate Hope Urban Farm and the on-site hydroponic system. At this cafe, guests can round up their bill or make a donation to help pay for a meal for someone who can’t afford it. Those who can’t afford to pay can order and enjoy fresh healthy food at no cost.
