Provides transportation services for older adults ages 60 and older. Priority is given to medical appointments. Transportation for other necessary errands provided when volunteer availability allows. Will transport to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Advance notice is required for all rides.

Provides a General Assistance (GA) program which provides monthly financial assistance to persons who do not have adequate income or resources to provide for their own basic needs. To qualify, the individual must meet certain financial and residential criteria and not be eligible for any other state or federal assistance programs.

Provides law enforcement services to Emmet County, including the operation of correctional facilities.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent and utilities may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Provides free and confidential services to pregnant women, their families, and individuals with young children. Services include pregnancy testing, pregnancy counseling, limited ultrasound, ongoing pregnancy support, referrals for community support services, support after an abortion, the Earn While You Learn Program, fatherhood mentoring, and a maternity home.

Also, provides childbirth education classes to prepare prospective mothers, birth partners, and family members for the labor and birth process, covering topics such as anatomy, breathing and relaxation techniques, delivery options, and postpartum care.

Additionally, resources and guidance are available to support economic self-sufficiency, including vocational evaluation, training in marketable skills, and referrals for employment opportunities tailored to those facing emotional challenges, substance abuse issues, or disabilities.

Helps overcome life's hurts, hang-up and habits, including addictions and undesirable behaviors.

Offers help with limited financial assistance (as funding allows) for basic needs such as rent, rent deposits, utilities, food, hygiene products, and more.

Clients must participate in ongoing case management.
