The program incorporates a dual-diagnosis approach with on-site integrated mental health evaluation and treatment, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and 24-hour emergency access.

DHS administers the applications for Medicaid through ABE (Application for Benefits Eligibility), which is the part of the DHS website where Illinois residents can apply for Medicaid, SNAP, and cash benefits.
