Provides help to residents locating resources and services, explore options and navigate systems. Can assist in health-related areas: access to and payment for medical care including medications, mental health/substance abuse, parenting and childcare, aging issues, housing or food.

Provides and administers the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program for existing housing. This program subsidizes the rent of eligible participants who live in approved, privately owned housing. This program requires application.

Offers a free in-home counseling program for children on Medicaid, ages 4-19, who need help improving behavioral skills. Provides in-home BHIS services out of all office locations.

Provides assistance to individuals and their families with homemaker services. Homemaker services can include friendly visiting, transportation and escort, shopping and errand running, minor home and yard maintenance, letter writing and reading, and respite.

Drive-thru-only pantry held two Saturdays each month, and a pop-up outdoor pantry each Monday (food only). Offers perishable and non-perishable items, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, diapers, and laundry detergent washing sheets for 20 loads of laundry.

For Thanksgiving 2025, Thanksgiving pantry is Thu, Nov 20, starting 10 am.

For Christmas 2025, Christmas pantry is Mon, Dec 22, starting 11 am.

Works with income-eligible homeowners to make their homes safer and more energy efficient by eliminating heat loss and air infiltration areas in the home. After the initial assessment, recommendations on home improvements are given to the homeowner and the Weatherization team will coordinate repairs with contractors. Examples of common improvements include sealing cracks, insulating attics, or repairing windows and doors. All improvements are completed at no cost to the homeowner.

Additional priority is given to households with elderly, disabled, and young children.

Community programs open to anyone impacted by cancer regardless of where they receive treatment, live, cancer type, or where they are currently in their cancer journey. Programs include:

• Wellness programs such as, guided meditation, yoga, Healing Kitchen, etc.
• Salon/spa programs, complementary therapies such as, massages, facials, reflexology, reiki, etc.
• Education and information.
• Support groups.
• Wigs are provided to all cancer patients free of charge.

Offers a home-visiting program to provide support services for families and children including early childhood development, parent support groups, health screenings, lending library, parenting education.

Provides services to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children to age five years. Services include: Nutrition education, Food assistance, Breastfeeding education and support, Health/nutrition screenings, and Referrals to medical, social and community services.

Provides law enforcement services to the Donnellson and West Point communities.

Supplemental food and nutritional counseling service for pregnant and nursing women, and their children who show nutritional and financial need. All participants receive nutrition education and counseling, supplemental foods, and information about other health services based on assessment findings.

Offers a full complement of medical care including cardiovascular and pulmonary services, an Emergency Department, maternity services, general medical and surgical care, joint and spine services and a variety of health related support groups. Provides a behavioral health drop in center for those in need. The center provides coffee, snacks, and someone to talk to if the person is going through a mental health crisis. Activities found at the center can range from crafts and art projects, to board games and monthly Bingo.

Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

Provides amplified phones, CapTel phones, and Braille phones to those individuals whose hearing loss can be verified by by physician.
