Takes complaints regarding out of control weeds or yards for properties in unincorporated Polk County. Responsible for insuring that each owner and each person in possession or control, shall cut or otherwise destroy all weeds or grass which constitutes health, safety, or fire hazard. Accepts in-person locations (Des Moines, Ankeny, Boone, and Indianola) accept donations of personal hygiene items & diapers/wipes. All locations except for Indianola accept non-perishable food donations as well. Cash donations are always accepted.

Supported Community Living and Home Based Community Services to provide the support necessary to assist adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses to live, work and enjoy recreational opportunities in community settings and live as independently as possible.

Community Support Services include monitoring mental health symptoms, transportation, supportive relationships, communication with other providers, assistance in attending appointments and obtaining medication, and crisis intervention.

Day Habilitation programs provide daily structure and positive support to help clients establish relationships.
