Offers home health aide services. Allowing clients to continue living at home, including assisted living facilities while receiving medical care. Services include personal care such as showering and bathing, nail care, shaving, oral and denture care, toileting, catheter, and ostomy assistance, exercise “buddy” for range of motion, endurance and wellness, encouraging mobility, including walking with an assistive device, nutrition assistance, including meal preparation and feeding, medication reminders and light housekeeping and chores.

Provides free NARCAN distribution for those in need. 

Offers legal advice clinics to latinx immigrants. Individuals needing assistance with a legal issue can submit a request for help online with a few details on what the issue is. Once an appointment has been scheduled, individuals will have the opportunity to get free legal advice from a lawyer.

Supports young adults to help them as they transition from the child welfare system to adulthood without permanent placement, while establishing a relationship with ILS staff.

Aftercare is offered at the Children's Square Campus.

Provides home delivered meals to eligible homebound seniors within the service area.

Provides connections for caregivers to the many resources available such as planning assistance, referrals, training, respite care, support groups, counseling, and emotional support.

Provides assistance with developing resumes, applying for jobs on-line, and utilizing Job Search through the Illinois Worknet website. 

Will also cover the cost of tuition and permit testing for the CDL Certification program. This area of employment has been identified as a short-term training area with high employment opportunities at a good living wage. The program is coordinated through Richland Community College, where the training is provided. Must provide a minimum of 2 pre-hire letters from potential employers before being approved for the CDL Certification program.

Several other funding sources are available for the CDL certification. Income requirements and amount of tuition paid by Empowerment Opportunity Center varies for these programs. Please call for a prescreening and to obtain information about all CDL certification options.

Provides individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as mental health evaluations, psychiatric medication evaluations and management.

Therapeutic teams partner with clients to achieve goals related to mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, relationship problems, behavior problems, personality disorders and chronic mental illness.

Provides library services for Fairbury residents and the surrounding area. Also offers computers and internet access for public use. 

Offers adult probation services, juvenile court services, truancy mediation for local schools, adult community service monitoring, work program and alcohol diversion program.

Offers rent and utility assistance. Amounts for help are small and vary depending on the donations and/or grants awarded. Average amount of help may not meet the full rent amount requested.

Offers ways to explore options and to solve problems that sometimes occur for people with disabilities. Common issues include making adjustments to a newly acquired disability, experiencing changes in living arrangements and learning to use community services more effectively.
