Provides outpatient substance use disorder treatment services for adults and adolescents, as well as substance use disorder prevention services within the surrounding community. Treatment services provided include substance use disorder evaluations, treatment planning, individual and group counseling services, and referrals to other community-based agencies as appropriate.

Provides development training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Services determines eligibility for state funded developmental disability services. Programs may also provide referrals, linkage to services and provides advocacy and monitoring of individuals with developmental disabilities. Programs include prioritization for urgency of need for services (PUNS), preadmission screening (PAS), and individual service and support advocacy (ISSA).

Provides a home-delivered meal program that is available to seniors 60 and older who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves, and have no one to cook for them.

Diabetic approved meals available.

Substance use treatments, including:

- Narcan and harm reduction supplies

- Residential Treatment: Rehabilitation services focusing on life skills and recovery.

- Outpatient services: Up to 24 hours per week. Consists of planning, ongoing assessment, psycho-educational and therapy groups, individual counseling, continued recovery plan.

- Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR): Methadone, Buprenorphine, Vivitrol.

Provides subsidized housing units for lower income individuals and families through USDA Rural Development program. Also provides affordable conventional housing that accepts Section 8. Multifamily units are available in a variety of towns throughout Iowa.

Provides hospice and palliative services to veterans with life-threatening illnesses. Services focus on comfort, quality of life and reducing suffering.

Provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children.

TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.

Transitional services are also available to help families become independent, such as GED preparation, vocational training, job retention programs, etc.

Equestrian activities with therapeutic educational and recreational benefits for individuals with disabilities.

Provides educational opportunities for immigrant families, including English and computer classes and parenting skills workshops.

Provides a one time grant for veterans experiencing financial hardship. Applicants must be residents of the state of Iowa and be honorably discharged or currently serving in the armed forces. 

The Veterans Emergency Fund is funded entirely by donations.
