Works alongside medical clinicians to help patients manage depression, family concerns, anxiety, trauma, risky behaviors, chronic diseases, child and adolescent well-being, ADHD, substance use and abuse, family violence and more complex conditions. Psychiatrists consult with the medical and behavioral health clinicians to ensure that patients receive care through effective assessment and evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic services.

Offers counseling in English and Spanish, and counseling in other languages is available using interpreter services. Social Assistance Workers are available to help patients access resources, address urgent financial issues and work through housing problems, violence, sexual assault and other issues with the goal of promoting self-efficacy in all areas of life that impact health and well-being.

Provides personal loans to underserved individuals. The loans are aimed to give financial education and debt reduction while also increasing financial mobility through savings and wealth attainment. The aim of the program is to combat payday loans and predatory lenders.

Loan terms are 6-8 months, with a maximum loan amount of $525, with a 10% APR.

Provides access to materials, including print, electronic, streaming, and downloadable items. Materials are available for circulation and in-house reference use. Also offers programs that encourage family literacy and children’s access to the arts. Computers available for public use so individuals can access word processing, resume writing, and spreadsheets.

Offers caseworkers to provide information and or assistance on benefit programs to assist individuals in remaining independent and in their homes. Also makes referrals to outside community service agencies that may assist in providing additional resources to meet client's needs. 

Trained SHIP volunteers provide Medicare information and counseling to help people learn more about their options with Medicare.

Offers bike repairs, and refurbished bikes and bike parts for sale.

Prepares and carries out disaster response and recovery actions to prevent, minimize, repair, and alleviate injury and damage from natural, man-made, or nuclear disasters. Emergency preparedness and recovery resources are available for natural hazards such as droughts, earthquakes, floods, large-scale fires, tornadoes, and winter storms. As well as man-made hazards such as civil disorder incidents, hazardous material incidents, major transportation accidents, nuclear power plant accidents, pollution and sanitation problems and terrorism incidents. 

Offers international programs of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Services include sports basketball, bowling, power lifting, soccer, softball, volleyball, aquatics, motor activities, golf, and flag football. Athletes develop better coordination, get needed exercise, improve concentration and discipline, meet other athletes, and gain a feeling of satisfaction and success. 

Provides a location for individuals to get assistance with employment services. Services include the use of computers to work on resumes, fill out job applications, and search for employment. Can also assist with mock interviews, resume and portfolio paper, and printing. 

Provides information and referral for mental health services for deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf/blind individuals in the state of Illinois.

Provides plans, prepares, and responds to public health emergencies that may affect and could harm the community. Examples of such public health emergencies include pandemic flue, food-based diseases, natural disasters, hazardous releases, and terrorism. Before, during, and after major disasters, the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department (FWBCHD) works in a variety of wars, in a coordinated response, to protect residents.
