Availability of items depends on what has been donated. The County Store accepts vouchers (for clothing and household goods) issued by local agencies. In times of community or personal disaster (fire, flood, tornado, chemical spill, etc.) in Howard County, may provide clothing and blankets free of charge. Donations accepted during store hours and volunteer opportunities available.

Provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children.

TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.

Transitional services are also available to help families become independent, such as GED preparation, vocational training, job retention programs, etc.

Provides in home support services for individuals in need. Services include personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, exercises and a respite care program. 

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent or utility payments, and food may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Provides transportation services to multiple counties.

Riders are encouraged to schedule trips at least one working day in advance (same-day service is available if space permits), and riders must be ready for pick-up 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Cancellations must be made at least two hours prior to pick-up time.

All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant.

Legal representation for matters involving fair housing. Types of cases that would be considered include:

- A refusal to rent on the basis of a particular trait or status (race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, familial status).

- Offering housing on different terms on those bases than for others.

- Steering people to housing elsewhere.

- Treatment of tenants differently due to one of the above mentioned traits or statuses.

- Issues with requests for reasonable accommodations in housing due to disability.

Offers a variety of medical services, including but not limited to cardiology, mental health, internal medicine, and family practice.

Offers individual, family, play, grief, and trauma-informed therapy services.

Provides library services to anyone. The following collections and services are available to kids, teens, and adults: books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, newspapers, games, puzzles, eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and music, streaming movies, digital magazines. Also offers a variety of programs, events, and activities, internet computers with software, printing, laminating, and faxing.
