Retail Organizational Employment offers paid work opportunities for individuals who meet basic admission requirements and have sufficient skills to operate independently in their chosen area of employment, after an orientation period. Individual Program Plans are developed to help participants gain the skills necessary to obtain future competitive employment. Participants are provided service coordination and case management services.
Job Outfitters assists individuals with obtaining proper interview and work apparel. Participants must be actively seeking employment or have recently secured employment. Case management takes place at the American Job Center.
Goodwill's Job Connection is located downtown in the Goodwill Retail Store. The purpose of Job Connection is to maximize the employability of job seekers in a market that requires some computer knowledge in nearly all jobs. Individuals may receive assistance with resume and cover letter creation and templates are available for use. Staff members are also available to help guide guests through online applications. Classes or tutorials for basic computer skills, typing and data entry are also made available. Many of the tutorials are available in both English and Spanish.

Provides a small community food pantry offering shelf stable items and a limited selection of fresh fruit or vegetables when available. Community Members may access the food pantry once each calendar month. Community members may select items of choice with an overall limit on the number of items based upon supply and household size.

Offers peer-led support in both one-on-one sessions and group recovery settings, helping participants build foundations for sustained sobriety. Peers help with support and bring real-life experiences to help guide individuals through every stage of their addiction recovery.
Can also provide Drug Court Support Services where Recovery Specialists work in close partnership with local Southern Illinois drug courts to provide vital support to individuals navigating both the judicial system and the recovery process. Will assist participants throughout the court-mandated recovery programs.

Offers workplace readiness/adult readiness training for autistic teens, ages 14 to young adult. Program activities focus on functional life and pre-employment skills for teens who are quickly moving toward adulthood.
Classroom work covers a variety of soft skills essential for workplace success, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. Also discusses career exploration, interview skills and resume writing. Hands-on activities at area businesses are also included.

IMPACT accepts donations from Jun 1-Sep 30, of NEW fans and window AC units and might have funding to purchase units as well. Units can be provided to families on an as-needed, and as-available basis. When available, units are only available at in-person offices for pick-up.
VITA at Ascentra Credit Union
Provides free income tax return preparation for taxpayers earning up to $67,000 annually. Helps working families take advantage of all eligible tax credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit (CTC) and education credits. Volunteers from the community help prepare basic, current-year tax returns for eligible taxpayers.
Tax preparation is offered primarily in-person by appointment, with an option for walk-in services at the Martin Luther King Community Center (Rock Island).
