Provides assistance to out-of-school youth ages 17-24 who are overcoming barriers to employment. Participants engage in academic programming to obtain a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and skill-building activities in construction or urban agriculture, such as building or rehabilitating housing for low-income families. Leadership development includes classes, activities, and organizational leadership roles.

Assistance is available for individuals who have experienced discrimination or unfair treatment based on age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status. Services target youth facing low income, homelessness, or involvement with the judicial system.

Parent education and support program provides ongoing in-home visits to families during pregnancy and after the birth of their baby, up to 5 years of age.

Provide a variety of money management services to low-income seniors who have difficulty managing their finances. Services include assisting with opening/organizing mail, budgeting, checkbook balancing, bill paying, and/or managing monthly Social Security benefits (as a bill payer or representative payee).

Offers business and Industry Loan Guarantees that are available for business and industrial development in rural areas to create and maintain employment, expand and to improve economic climate. Eligible borrowers include Public bodies, Community-based non-profit corporations, Federally-recognized Tribes Funds can be used to purchase, construct, and/or improve essential community facilities, purchase equipment and pay related project expenses.

For Thanksgiving 2026, the Meal Bag Giveaway is held on Sat, Nov 21, from 8 am until supplies run out. Located at the FaithWorks Pantry, South Entrance, at FaithWestwood.

- Distributes shopping bags filled with all the foods needed for a complete Thanksgiving dinner to families with financial need, including a gift card to buy a Turkey at Walmart.

- Provides one meal bag per household. Recipient must be present to receive a bag (no proxies). Bags are given out on a first come-first serve basis; it is encouraged to arrive early.

Low income housing including Section 8, Housing Choice vouchers, Emergency Housing vouchers and public housing.

Provides screenings, speech and developmental therapies, and evaluations for children from birth to 3 years with developmental delays or disabilities.

Provides an outreach programs seeking to assure that limited-English-proficient immigrants and refugees eligible for WIC and SNAP benefits can successfully access these programs administered by IDHS.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) administers this program through a network of community-based partner agencies.

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks. 

Offers information of affordable housing for low-income migrant and farmworkers. Services include outreach and referrals for Illinois low-income home energy assistance program (LIHEAP), emergency overnight shelter for low-income farmworkers, referrals to Illinois agencies providing rent assistance services and housing foreclosure prevention counseling, housing information and education, rent smart, fair housing, tenant's rights, and coordination and housing advocates.

Provides research-based strategies to support the holistic development of the young child. Offers information and/or classes about parenting, grandparenting, discipline, child care selection, children and divorce, and money management.

Offers online professional development for early childhood professionals.

- The First Wheel Program is designed to assist those facing the most urgent transportation challenges. Eligible participants can acquire a vehicle for just $500, with an intended lifespan of 18-24 months.

- The Second Wheel Program caters to individuals prepared to invest a minimum of $3,000 in purchasing a vehicle. Eligible participants gain access to an inventory of affordably priced used vehicles.

- For both programs, clients participate in a series of informative classes over several months, equipping participants with essential skills for vehicle ownership.

Parents assistance in finding childcare providers that will meet the family's needs. Provides education about finding quality childcare.

Childcare provider assistance with marketing, training to support the childcare business, obtaining professional growth, and improving the quality of care provided. Employer help to support employees' childcare needs to improve and increase employee morale, recruitment, and retention. Community help by providing local data, information and resources related to childcare, child development, and early childhood education.

Assists homeless teens with a safe, stable home, provides income adequate to meet their basic needs, and assists and directs in overcoming the problems that interfere with their ability to live independently.
