This intensive program follows a four-phase system, addressing seven key areas of instability to help participants regain stability and independence.

Patients in need of help paying for a prescription can obtain assistance through a voucher.

After the initial assessment, recommendations on home improvements are given to the homeowner and the Weatherization team will coordinate repairs with contractors. Examples of common improvements include sealing cracks, insulating attics, or repairing windows and doors. All improvements are completed at no cost to the homeowner.

Clients may receive emergency funds to avoid a utility disconnection. Program often works in conjunction with other assistance.

The LIHEAP program assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. The application period is from October 1 (for elderly and disabled households) and November 1 through April 30th for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines.
