Offers the Adventure Pass, a program designed to help individuals and families check out area attractions for free. The pass can be checked out with a library card and allows free admittance to the Blank Park Zoo, McCreary Community Building, Perry Grand 3 Theaters, Science Center of Iowa and the Des Moines Children's Museum. The Adventure Pass must be printed when presented upon admission into the attractions along with a photo ID. Each pass allows admission for up to 4 people, including up to 2 adults and 2 children.

Early Learning Academy Child Care: Provides full-time and part-time childcare, where children can learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships, and build self-reliance. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks are provided. Youth membership is included with enrollment.

SAFE Before and After School Care: Program provides an inclusive atmosphere where kids are nurtured and encouraged to achieve success both academically and socially. At SAFE kids can get homework help and participate in activities. SAFE is located on school premises and offers homework assistance, enrichment activities, athletic play, and social activities. A snack is served in the morning and afternoon. All SAFE students receive a free youth membership. Flexible attendance options are available.

Summer Camp: Provides a summer camp experience for school-aged children. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack is provided. Children can bring a snack lunch if they wish, but home lunches should not contain nuts.

Offers exterior home repairs to homeowners that meet income guidelines, who are unable to make the repairs on their own. Assists with minor improvements like painting, landscaping, exterior door replacements, accessibility improvements, and weatherization of the home and neighborhood beautification. Material costs are covered by no interest loans to the homeowner.

Provides supportive services to victims of domestic violence, their children, and companion animals. Services for adults and children include emergency shelter (pet friendly based on availability), counseling, support groups, housing advocacy, legal advocacy (obtaining orders of protection), medical advocacy, children's services, and a 24-hr crisis hotline.

Offers to empower, support and advocate for foster, adoptive and kinship families across Iowa. IFAPA provides support, training and resources to promote safety, permanency and well-being for Iowa's children. Information and referrals are provided as well as parenting materials and skills classes. This is a private, non-profit organization. This is an affiliate of the National Foster Parents Association.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters, natural and manmade. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Offers ten beautiful parks, state-of-the-art facilities: including the Community Recreation Center, Natatorium Pool, Humiston-Riverside Park, Splash Pad, Golf Course, and the outdoor ice-skating rink, a variety of programs for all ages and populations, an adaptive recreation program, and much more.

Maintains and provides access to official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state and federal tax liens, military records, birth, divorce, death, and marriage records. Offers services for issuing and renewing licenses for ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, hunting, and fishing, as well as marriage licenses and certificates. Operates as a Passport acceptance facility with photo services and processes military records for tax exemptions and benefits.

Additionally, issues public health permits to certify compliance with health laws for various facilities and institutions. Services include the establishment of standards, review of applications, issuance of permits, and enforcement of compliance through inspections and monitoring.

Provides classes and counseling services related to pregnancy, birth, childcare, and parenting to teach new skills, build confidence, and address emotional, mental, or social challenges associated with parenting roles. 

Mini shelters are available for displaced persons who suffer loss of homes due to fire, tornadoes, transience, domestic disputes, or homelessness. Shelters are guarded and locations are confidential.

Providing a Thanksgiving community meal for Champaign County residents. Meal is hosted at the Washington Square Apartments in the community room on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 pm-5 pm. 

Provides critical access hospital services including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room; cardiac rehabilitation; radiology; occupational therapy; laboratory; physical therapy; pulmonary rehab; clinics specializing in cardiology, surgery, endoscopy, orthopedic services.
