Services include seeking expungements and sealing criminal records, restoring driver’s licenses, and removing other barriers to employment, education and housing, SNAP and TANF denials, calculations, overpayments and sanctions, special education, school discipline, and school enrollment issues, Community Care Program and Home Services Program issues, and tax disputes with IRS, including innocent spouse relief, identity theft, and collections.

Provides in-home assessments which help identify the needs and strengths of each individual and develops a client-directed care plan, that promotes independence and prevents premature institutionalization.

Resources and supportive services may be arranged, such as Homemaker Assistance, Adult Day Services, Emergency Home Response Services, and other programs.  The goal is for individuals to make informed choices regarding their own care.

Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Replaces old, energy-inefficient heating/cooling units (HVAC units) at no cost for eligible Nebraska homeowners who meet specific conditions.

Provides an outreach programs seeking to assure that limited-English-proficient immigrants and refugees eligible for WIC and SNAP benefits can successfully access these programs administered by IDHS.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) administers this program through a network of community-based partner agencies.

HIV Counseling and Testing: Trained nurses provide confidential counseling and blood testing. Educational programs concerning AIDS are available to schools, organizations, and local businesses.

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) medication for persons at risk for HIV.

Provides residents unemployment bus tickets with a maximum of 20 free bus tickets in a twelve-month period.  An ID and current piece of mail for proof of address is required to receive tickets.

Provides a preschool program for 3-5 year old children and their parents. Program is designed to provide an exciting and engaging atmosphere for children to explore and learn. Classrooms are set up for exploration-based learning that includes: imaginative play, blocks/building, writing and art, games, sensory exploration, science, and literacy. Program offers activities for families and children to attend and play together, so they both learn how to interact in a way that fosters successful communication and support.

Provides counseling services to individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence. Counseling is also available to families, friends of the client. Counseling is available immediately after an assault or at any later date. Counseling sessions can provide a place for survivors to express their feelings, thoughts, and fears.

Can provide a Personal Assistant to assist people with disabilities with activities of daily living that they cannot do themselves. Daily living activities that a person could use help with may include dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, meal preparation, health care, laundry, housework, money management, shopping, and feeding.

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks. 

Offers a food pantry for those in need of food assistance.

Offers trained volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children involved in the child welfare system. Volunteers advocate with the court to ensure each child's voice is heard, their needs are met, and they have a safe, permanent home.

Provides outpatient substance abuse treatment counseling, substance abuse evaluation services, and group therapy. Also provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Offers maternity services to those in need. A complete range of educational classes, birthing facilities, and post-birth care options are available. Call for more information to arrange a tour or to register for classes. Services include breast- feeding consultation, prepared brother and sister and grand-parenting classes, mother and baby exercise, and infant and child CPR, etc. Call for more information regarding postpartum depression.

Outpatient mental health services to enhance an individual's social, psychological, emotional, and intellectual well being in order to support them in achieving their quality of life goals.

Services may include individual, family and couples therapy. Areas of focus are often anxiety; anger; depression; grief; school or work related issues; behavioral concerns; family concerns; grief; eating disorders and relationship issues. Therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavior Modification. Clinicians are also Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) trained and utilize DBT strategies as needed.

Special focus on developing services for those with more disabling mental illness with concurrent intellectual/developmental disability diagnoses.
