Early Head Start, birth to 3 years old, have similar comprehensive services as Head Start.

Provides perishable and shelf stable foods, including meat and produce for those who are in need.

Provides assistance to secure homes for hot and cold weather, making homes more energy efficient.

Provides counseling and other adult, and child and adolescent outpatient mental health programs, first responder suicide prevention, substance use treatment, mobile crisis response and offers Naloxone.

Also helps to coordinate services with other community care providers. 

Home health care services including skilled nursing, rehabilitative therapies, home care aides, speech therapy, dietitian consult, certified wound ostomy, continence nurse, medical alert systems and homemaker assistance.

Provides a free medical clinic for anyone who are uninsured and under insured. Services include illness/minor injury care, well child exams, school/sport physicals, employment physicals, lead testing, patient assistance program enrollment, transportation, chronic disease management, diabetes/blood glucose testing, and high blood pressure testing.

Offers adult citizenship and civics courses in the evenings to assist with the naturalization process, preparing and navigating participants for naturalization/citizenship interviews. Civics course provides the materials, tools, and strategies needed to become a United States citizen successfully.

Offers a no-kill shelter which provides temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to displaced and neglected companion animals.

Provides new and expecting families with support and education about what to expect while pregnant and parenting. Helps parents to build confidence in their role and feel successful as a parent.

Designed to help individuals explore their own use of substances and better understand the impact of those substances on their behaviors and driving skills.

Offers to sell gently used clothing and accessories for adults and children.

Provides community-based services to adjudicated teens. Intended to divert youth from deeper involvement in the criminal justice system through intensive case management, counseling, life skills development, education, and recreation.

Summer 2026:

Starting June 3rd through Aug 5th, children and teens can receive free meals throughout the summer by visiting one of the sites throughout Lee County or Ogle County. No registration or ID is required.

Lunch-serving sites are open on Wednesdays, providing three grab-and-go meals for each child.

- Old Lincoln School: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- St Paul Lutheran Church: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Wooden Wonderland: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Splash Pad at Vaile Park: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Dixon High School: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Jefferson School: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Washington School: 12 pm-12:30 pm.

- Valley Covenant Church, Stillman Valley: Serves on Wednesdays from 12 pm-12:30 pm.

Provides access to a 24 hour helpline with care coordination specialists offering resource referrals, case management and support to Illinois Veterans, family members, or caregivers experiencing emotional challenges associated with PTSD, mild TBI, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and substance abuse. 

Provides mental health services including therapy, talk therapy, assessments and evaluations, group services, medication management, nutritionist help, and more. Counseling services may be provides in person or through virtual/telehealth appointments. 

Assistance for homeless students includes:

- Immediately enroll in school even if the student lacks documentation regarding residency, guardianship, immunizations, or school records.

- Attend the school of residence or the school of origin.

- Remain enrolled in the selected school for the duration of homelessness or through the academic year if they become permanently housed.

- Obtain free transportation to/from school.

- Participate in any school activity that is available to other students.

- Receive free school meals without filling out an application.
