Works with primary care providers who identify social/emotional or developmental concerns, family stressors, or caregiver depression during well child medical exams. If a condition is identified, the family is referred to a support specialist who provides care coordination. Specialists may provide referrals for developmental screening, mental health or behavioral health services, or other needs, and will monitor the family's progress.

Family Planning program that provides the following:

• Birth control supplies
• Testing for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections
• Counseling and education on pregnancy and STI prevention
• Pap smears and yearly exams

Case management, client needs assessment, goal setting/plan development, and assistance to stabilize housing for individuals and families. Offers "Norman Services" to support families with children at risk of being placed in DCFS care or unable to return home due to unmet basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, or other essential items. These services aim to prevent child removal or facilitate reunification by addressing critical living circumstances.

Eligible families may receive assistance through Public Aid/TANF and other cash grants, the Housing Advocacy Program (HAP) to secure permanent housing, and the Emergency Cash Assistance Program for immediate basic needs.

Additionally, the services include support for guardianship-related matters, providing guidance and resources for individuals navigating the appointment or opposition of guardianship arrangements for children or adolescents.

Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.

English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes are offered in Clinton, Muscatine, Davenport, Bettendorf, Columbus Junction, and West Liberty.

ELA classes expand English communication skills for students who are not native English speakers. Classroom, small group and computer instruction are designed to promote reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Students learn about personal communication, conducting business, work-related communication, and civic engagement.

Provides a variety of resources to help individuals struggling with or living in homelessness, access healthy food and warmth during cold weather, and essential hygiene and safety supplies. Supplies provided include food, emergency funds to go towards emergency lodging, sleeping bags and mats, and survival backpacks when available.

Assists veterans and their dependents in applying for and navigating the various federal, state and county programs offered to the veteran and his or her family.

Provides assistance in completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, and waivers of tuition.

This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion.
