For Thanksgiving and Christmas 2025:

- The pantry will be stocked with holiday items for the 2025 holiday season, Mon-Fri 9 am-11 am.

- On Thanksgiving Morning, there will be an in-house Thanksgiving Meal at the Parish Center from 9 am to 11 am. A traditional Thanksgiving Meal will be served.

- There will be an in-house Christmas ham dinner on the Friday before Christmas in the Parish Center from 9 am to 11 am.

Helps perpetrators of violence learn non-violent skills. This program is for men or women who attempt to control their partner with physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and/or economic abuse.

Services are provided to try and stop abuse by helping the abusers:

-- See that it is not acceptable to abuse their partners.

-- Learn to take blame and credit for their actions.

-- Learn non-violent and non-controlling ways of communication.

-- Realize that partner abuse is not an anger management problem.

-- Assess whether mental health or substance abuse treatment is also needed.

Provides management and maintenance of all trial court records; process fines, fees, and court costs owed to the state; child support checks and civil judgments owned to litigants; and maintain record of liens on property.

Provides approved clients with job placements in Springfield for up to 70 hours per month over a 9-month period. Program helps build work experience, learn job skills, and earn a paycheck.

Provides behavioral health services to those in need. Services include mental health evaluations, individual, couples, family and group counseling, substance abuse treatment and counseling, and medication management. 

Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Individuals attending CHOICE chose from a variety of activities throughout the day. Through the activities planned, individuals find out more about their community and take advantage of the resources in the area. Crafts, care of the center's flowers and plants, computer skills, preparing food, and community visits are popular activities.

Provides professional counseling and casework services for individuals, marriages, and families experiencing a variety of social, emotional, and interpersonal problems. Works with a variety of issues such as, anxiety, depression, family and adolescent issues.

The goal is to provide clients with the skills necessary to surmount a problem, and/or link to the services that may help prevent a recurrence of the crisis that caused them to seek out services.

Telehealth services are available.

Provides a variety of counseling services for adults and children. Topics typically discussed include: depression, anxiety, physical/sexual abuse (victim and perpetrators), relationships, parenting, grief/loss, trauma, family issues, adoption, anger management, conflict resolution, childhood behavioral disorders, stress management. 

County level services provide direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service. Must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year.

State level services do not require wartime service. Assist in completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund; fee exempt fishing and hunting permits; applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes; waivers of tuition.

Federal level services provide and/or complete Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Offers to assist individuals with a mental health diagnosis in obtaining employment. Evaluation and individualized treatment plans utilized to assist individuals.

Services include, job searching, job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, assistance with resume writing, mock interviews, on-the-job supports, benefits planning, other skill-based supports for obtaining and maintaining employment.
