Comprehensive child development program serving children 6 weeks to 3 years old.

Staff make visits to the homes of Early Head Start children to assist parents in meeting their family goals.

Parents have the opportunity to be part of a parent committee and/or to volunteer in the center.

Early Head Start provides educational activities through the High/Scope curriculum.

All diapers, wipes, baby food and formula needed during the day are provided free of charge.

Provides a thrift store that sells donated, gently used products. Clothing vouchers available for children in need and adults in need of clothing for job interview.

Helps schools, parents, and the community in an effort to prepare young people to become successful and productive citizens.

Focuses on the YMCA core values of Character, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, tied with the Six Pillars of Character Development to enhance the self confidence, motivation, and self esteem of the participants.

The program is site-based and operates at different schools sites in the community. Every group at each particular site meets at different times.

Offers a free and confidential crisis line for veterans. Can also help with local suicide prevention coordinators, who can connect veterans to ongoing counseling and services in their area.

County level services provide direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service. Must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Deuel County. State level services do not require wartime service. Assist in completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund; fee exempt fishing and hunting permits; applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes; waivers of tuition. Federal level services provide and/or complete Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Provides child-sensitive interviews and advocacy for families impacted by sexual and severe physical abuse.
