United Cerebral Palsy - Center for Disability Services
Provides school based curriculum and programming designed to meet the individual needs of each student, including personalized academic instruction, social skills development, and therapeutic support. Curriculum and activities are aligned with age and grade-appropriate academic instructional activities, as well as the Illinois Learning Standards and Common Core Career and College Readiness Standards.
Also incorporates functional academics, life skills, vocational training, supported or independent employment opportunities, and community based instruction. Through hands-on experiences, students engage in activities that foster social interactions, communication, and personal growth outside of the traditional classroom setting. Community Based Instruction (CBI) provides employment readiness and career development, recreation/leisure skills development, transportation and community mobility, communication and social skills development, and independent living skills development.

Offers, as resources allow, to help refugees and asylees reach economic self-sufficiency and to them with any problems, interests and concerns they may have. The Bureau of Refugee Services works to serve as a central clearinghouse in order to refer refugees and asylees to any resource necessary and available to them. The Bureau is the service agency for all refugees enrolled in FIP, the state welfare reform program. Now offering a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) program. This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

La Clinica De La Esperanza provides comprehensive medical services in the areas of adult, pediatric, and women's health. The clinic offers educational classes in Spanish, led by a registered nurse, on various health-related topics such as prenatal care, breastfeeding, family planning, nutrition, and diabetes.
Pregnancy testing services are available to help individuals determine pregnancy status. General immunizations are provided to protect the community from preventable diseases, with a focus on vulnerable populations such as newborns, young children, individuals who could become pregnant, older adults, and travelers. Additionally, an on-site social worker is available to clinic patients for therapy in a clinical setting.
