Aging Resources of Central Iowa
Basic Needs Assistance Program is designed to meet the emergency needs of low-income individuals age 60 or over. Funds are available for material aid: for emergency needs such as rent payment assistance, utility bills, eyeglasses, prescription medications, and minor home repairs. The limit for a request is $400 every 2 years. If a service or funds are available elsewhere the assistance will not be approved until all resources have been explored. Assistance can only be issued when funding is available.

Topics typically discussed include: depression, anxiety, physical/sexual abuse (victim and perpetrators), relationships, parenting, grief/loss, trauma, family issues, adoption, anger management, conflict resolution, childhood behavioral disorders, stress management.

Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland
Assistance for those who have questions or need assistance with Medicare Part D (Prescription Drugs). Offers provider referrals for those who need Medicaid or Medicaid Extra Help.
Medicare Part D (Prescription Drugs) Open Enrollment helps clients navigate the prescription drug plan review process.
Open enrollment happens every year starting in mid October and continues through the first part of December.
Clients may contact a nearby center to assist. If nearby center is booked for appointments, AgeLinc can help with enrollment.

CCSI Case Coordination - Bloomington Office
Provides in-home assistance to seniors to help them remain independent in the home. Services include case management, home care aid (non-medical in-home care to assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, housework, meal preparation, and transportation for essential errands), emergency home response system, automated medication dispenser, and money management. Care Coordinators can also assist older adults and their caregivers in finding options when leaving the hospital or long-term care center.

Children's Square Campus
Provides outpatient mental health care to children, youth and families through the Pediatric and Adolescent Therapy, Medication Management and Behavioral Health Intervention Services.
- Addresses the mental health needs of children, adolescents and their families through individual and family therapy.
- Psychiatric nurse practitioner available to provide evaluation, medication management and health education as needed.
- Behavioral health intervention services offered at Children's Square campus; provides skills-based interventions for children and their families.
Webster Cantrell Youth Advocacy - Decatur Office
Helps families in crisis by offering programs that work to stabilize families through guidance, emotional support, and basic necessities. Caseworker services are provided to families and seek to preserve families to enable children to remain safely at home and avoid separation and/or placement of the children. Referrals to other programs or community agencies are conducted as appropriate.
Intact Services are tailored to a family's particular crisis and are provided to prevent children from coming into the foster care system. Services may include parenting classes, emergency caretakers, housing assistance, individual and family counseling, child development education, respite care, daycare, employment placement, household management education, emergency food assistance, and community resource referrals.
Family Service Center of Sangamon County
Specialized foster care helps children who have behavioral, mental health, or medical needs that can't adequately be maintained in a traditional foster placement. Specialized foster care can be with a relative or non-relative whom has become licensed with the agency.
Specialized foster placements are asked to take additional training to for children with more intensive needs. A general training will be offered initially by Family Service Center and then additional training will be offered on an ongoing basis specific to the child's needs.
Additional supports include:
-- Visits from the caseworker at least 3 times a month.
-- Counseling services for the child.
-- Behavior specialists who are on call and able to respond to crisis situations 7 days a week.
A larger monthly subsidy is provided to specialized foster parents to help address additional needs of the children. The agency will ask the foster family for preference regarding age, race, gender, and special needs of the children.

Provide a single point of entry to the Illinois Early Intervention Program (EI). Early Intervention offers developmental support and case coordination services for families with children under 3 years old with developmental delays. Service Coordinators assist referred families through the process of enrollment into the EI, as well as initiate referrals for evaluations and direct services. Eligible participants receive case coordinator through CFC to monitor individualized goals, strategies, and services. Additionally, staff assist families with the transition from the EI program into local school/care special education services based on the family's priorities and the child's needs.
Grand Island VA Medical Center
Provides long-term care to help veterans and their families when dealing with a disability, chronic (long-lasting) illness, or serious health issues related to aging. Long-term health care services include 24-hour nursing and medical care, physical therapy, and help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, making meals, and taking medicine.
Black Men United
Drive-thru-only pantry held two Saturdays each month, and a pop-up outdoor pantry each Monday (food only). Offers perishable and non-perishable items, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, diapers, and laundry detergent washing sheets for 20 loads of laundry.
For Thanksgiving 2025, Thanksgiving pantry is Thu, Nov 20, starting 10 am.
For Christmas 2025, Christmas pantry is Mon, Dec 22, starting 11 am.
