Martha's House of Hope
Offers a transitional living maternity home that provides a safe haven for vulnerable pregnant women and their infants, offering a stable and supportive environment. The focus is on encouraging women to become self-sufficient, and to help develop the mother spiritually, emotionally and intellectually throughout pregnancy and into early motherhood. Creates an individualized case plan for each mother that incorporates both comprehensive health services and transitional housing. Case workers provide each mother with access to preventative care, prenatal care, delivery and postpartum care, and even transportation to and from appointments. Also provides educational resources and life skills support. Works with healthcare providers to provide specialized care to mothers and babies with medical complications, providing medical care and treatment for every pregnant woman and her baby. Supports pregnant women and their babies in desperate circumstances, including those who are fleeing domestic violence, experiencing mental health issues, or experiencing homelessness.

Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois
Assists individuals in Illinois in becoming licensed foster parents. Also provides follow-up training for foster parents to help meet the various needs of their foster children.
Services provided:
-- LCFS team provides guidance and support through the foster care experience.
-- Health insurance for the children placed in a foster home.
-- Therapy, counseling, and academic counseling, and special education services when needed.
-- Training programs, support groups, and newsletters geared to foster families.
-- Monthly financial support for the foster child(ren's) basic needs, including food, clothing, and housing costs.
-- Funding for daycare, after-school care, and extracurricular activities including sports and art programs for eligible children in foster care.
Tri-County Opportunities Council
LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) provides utility bill assistance. Applications are accepted from October 1 to August 15, or until funds are exhausted, whichever comes first. Income must fall at or below 60% of the State Median Income. Call for an appointment.

Provides therapy services to individuals ages 6-24. Trauma Informed Therapy is provided by licensed therapists and includes psychoeducation and psychological first aid that addresses traumatic events and symptoms such as bullying, witnessing abuse, community violence, car accident, physical or sexual abuse.
