Offers a transitional living maternity home that provides a safe haven for vulnerable pregnant women and their infants, offering a stable and supportive environment. The focus is on encouraging women to become self-sufficient, and to help develop the mother spiritually, emotionally and intellectually throughout pregnancy and into early motherhood. Creates an individualized case plan for each mother that incorporates both comprehensive health services and transitional housing. Case workers provide each mother with access to preventative care, prenatal care, delivery and postpartum care, and even transportation to and from appointments. Also provides educational resources and life skills support. Works with healthcare providers to provide specialized care to mothers and babies with medical complications, providing medical care and treatment for every pregnant woman and her baby. Supports pregnant women and their babies in desperate circumstances, including those who are fleeing domestic violence, experiencing mental health issues, or experiencing homelessness.

Offers gas vouchers for individuals with medical appointments or job interviews. 

Provides zero-interest loans up to $6,000 for income-eligible homeowners to make energy-saving home repairs. Covered repairs may include new furnaces, heating system upgrades, new windows, insulation, and weatherproofing. Funds are limited.

Provides recovery and support services to anyone that is struggling with an addiction or with something going on in their lives. A free meal is provided at every meeting.

Used medical equipment available for township residents. Equipment can be on loan for up to 3 months, or more if approved. Common items available:

- Walkers

- Wheel chairs

- Crutches

- Commodes

- Shower Seats

Provides immunizations and international travel health consulting.

Vaccines include:

• Flu
• Meningitis
• MMR
• Pneumonia
• Tetanus

Assists individuals in Illinois in becoming licensed foster parents. Also provides follow-up training for foster parents to help meet the various needs of their foster children.

Services provided:

-- LCFS team provides guidance and support through the foster care experience.

-- Health insurance for the children placed in a foster home.

-- Therapy, counseling, and academic counseling, and special education services when needed.

-- Training programs, support groups, and newsletters geared to foster families.

-- Monthly financial support for the foster child(ren's) basic needs, including food, clothing, and housing costs.

-- Funding for daycare, after-school care, and extracurricular activities including sports and art programs for eligible children in foster care.

LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) provides utility bill assistance. Applications are accepted from October 1 to August 15, or until funds are exhausted, whichever comes first. Income must fall at or below 60% of the State Median Income. Call for an appointment.

Offers health care services for women veterans of all ages. Primary care providers specialize in women's health, including specialists in gynecology, obstetrics, female urology, oncology, medicine, radiology, surgery, and breast illness. 

Provides therapy services to individuals ages 6-24. Trauma Informed Therapy is provided by licensed therapists and includes psychoeducation and psychological first aid that addresses traumatic events and symptoms such as bullying, witnessing abuse, community violence, car accident, physical or sexual abuse.

Community transportation services include:

-- Purchased/Referred Care Transportation to medical appointments

-- Discharge from a medical facility if transferred from the TCUH

-- Shuttle services between TCUH and Siouxland Community Health Center

-- Medical Courier Services

Property rentals provide affordable housing for families with low income. Property management also has supportive housing available for low-income families. Limited handicap-accessible units are available. Must meet occupancy guidelines. Security and background check conducted.

Holiday Food provides special meals during the holiday season.

Holiday Families provides support to families during the holidays, in partnership with community organizations.

Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets are offered through some Mid-Sioux Opportunity outreach offices, as well as Christmas gift distribution programs. Dates and times vary by location. Families are encouraged to contact their local office for details.

Provides probation supervision for offenders after being convicted of a criminal offense as ordered by the Court; in lieu of incarceration. Also provides parole and probation and presentence services for justice involved adults and provides court ordered domestic violence educational interventions for adults convicted of family/domestic violence.

Provides mental health services for patients with mental illness and significant emotional disorders. Services include addiction medical management, diagnoses of mental health conditions, diagnostic evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and support for relationships and families.
