Offers a 24-hour Mobile Crisis Response Team in coordination with Central Iowa Community Services (CICS) and the Care Connections of Northern Iowa region. Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis can call to have the Mobile Crisis Unit dispatched.

Provides financial assistance, assist stranded motorists, donates to needy veterans, provides community services and fellowship, and provides scholarships for members. Call for more information and understanding of benefits.

Offers employment opportunities services. Providing a variety of services for job seekers, including career counseling, education and job-training guidance, financial aid for education and training, personalized career plans, unemployment insurance services, America's Job Bank and other internet job listings, and referrals to partner organizations. In addition, individuals are offered assistance with resumes, cover letters for employers, and interview skills.

Senior center with approximately 6,000 square feet devoted exclusively to senior citizens and senior groups in the community. The space includes a Senior Social Hall, a separate space for individual activities, and one for group activities.

Maintains county parks and recreation areas and provides hunter safety classes, camping, fishing and boating information. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available through county parks and outdoor wildlife areas.

Offers to assist in helping eligible Native Americans pay for childcare.

Offers summer camps for children ages 3 to 13. Activities include swimming, hiking, nature exploration, arts and crafts, sports and games.

Offers a food pantry that provides food and other items. Items will vary from week to week but may include a selection of breads and an assortment of desserts.

Prenatal care, preparing for birth and questions and answers about breast feeding. Expectant moms are encouraged to bring support person.

Provides American Indian employment and training programs. 

Patient advocacy organization serving individuals with asthma and allergies, aiming to save lives and reduce the burden of these diseases by providing community support, patient and provider education, research, and advocacy. AAFA’s comprehensive, evidence-based information and programming promote a better understanding of these diseases to empower patients and providers with knowledge to improve outcomes. 

Offers support to hospital patients and/or families visiting patients receiving medical care or receiving services from Mary Lanning Memorial Healthcare. Guest rooms are allocated on a space-available basis with reservations accepted up to two weeks in advance. Assignment of rooms is first-come, first-serve and available 365 days a year.

Five private bedrooms and five private suites for general medical visitors and their families.

Offers a comprehensive mental health center that provides outpatient individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Services include mental health evaluations to screen, diagnose, and plan treatment for individuals experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric issues. Psychiatric case management is available to assess needs, coordinate services, and monitor progress to ensure effective care.

Integrated Health and Community Outreach Programs are offered, including Jail Diversion programs, Integrated Health programs, and Support Community Living programs. Life skills education is provided to help individuals develop the knowledge and skills necessary for independent living, addressing areas such as job search, money management, nutrition, home management, and health care.

Preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation in times of disaster. Information and education on emergency disaster preparedness.

Provides in-home parenting support and education. In addition to using the Parents as Teachers Born to Learn curriculum, educations provide infant and child weight checks, breastfeeding education and support, prenatal teaching and support, healthy and safe home environment information, information on healthy child development and early brain development, and information about available community services.

Loans up to $300 or 1/2 of the rent, whichever is less. May use service if needed once every 6 months. 

Provides energy efficiency services without cost to homeowners or renters who meet guidelines. Installation of work measurers are determined and measured by a computerized energy audit. Work includes sealing air infiltration leaks, high-density insulation, health and safety check, heating system repair or replacement, water heaters repair or replacement. Some minor repair is allowable for health and safety reasons.

Offers to help patients prevent illness, manage ongoing health conditions, and get care when they are sick. Services may include exams, screenings, immunizations, care for acute illness, chronic disease care, referrals, and care coordination.

Offers public health programs and services, including bioterrorism and county disaster preparedness. Provides mammograms and Pap tests for early cancer detection, lead poisoning screenings for young children, and home health aide services to support recently discharged hospital patients, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. Works closely with the county Board of Health and serves as a funding source for community needs assessments. Also provides information about communicable diseases.
