Conducts on-site evaluations of private sewage systems for homeowners. Also licenses private sewage system installers and permits the installation and modification of private sewage systems.

Other services include free pregnancy testing for women of any age, testing/treatment of sexually transmitted diseases for males and females, hormone replacement therapy, sterilization, education programs on sexual responsibility, female camp, school and sport physicals, and annual examinations for adult women. Bus tokens may be available for those with transportation needs.

Currently enrolling Iowa women in a program that provides free birth control services to those who have no insurance and meet income qualifications. Can provide long acting reversible birth control to any woman who medically qualifies for little to no out-of-pocket expense.

Teen pregnancy prevention program addresses questions relating to sexuality issues such as pregnancy, abstinence, birth control methods, and sexually-transmitted diseases. Anyone may request a free Teen Pack or Parent Pack, which include information on teen parenting, communication, birth control methods, and sexually transmitted diseases.

Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Outpatient services for individuals, couples and families. Focus areas include relationships, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, trauma and addiction. Licensed therapists work with children and adults of all ages and backgrounds, serving people of all faiths.

Evidence-based approaches include psychotherapy, trauma therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), PCIT (Parent Child Interactional Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

Provides scholarships to school-aged children in income-eligible households wishing to attend a camp or enroll in a class such a swimming lessons, cooking, art, etc.

Offers utility assistance to individuals through Nicor gas bills when funds are available.

Consultative Assessment Services - Mental health staff conduct risk assessments and build a plan for an individual who may need additional support.

Crisis Intervention Services – Short-term services for individuals who need immediate, intensive, habilitative support to work through periods of crisis.

Offers home delivered meals to older adults and military veterans. Two options are available:

- Hot Meal Delivery: Freshly prepared meals, delivered hot over the lunch hour up to five days a week.

- Frozen Meal Packs: Mix and match a pack of 5 or 7 ready-to-heat meals, delivered weekly.

Menus and interest form are available on the website.

All meals are prepared in the Meals-on-Wheels kitchen in the Drake neighborhood and are hand-delivered by drivers and volunteers Mon-Fri.

Funding is available for those living on a limited income. Clients do not need to receive meals every day and schedules can be flexible.

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims and Veterans Burial Benefits. Also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

When funds permit may provide emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent and utility payments, and food or food vouchers may be available.

Designates a civil surgeon at the Rock Island County Health Department to provide physicals and immunizations for immigrants seeking US residency.
