Heartland of Story County
A box of shelf-stable food items are provided on a monthly basis to Story County residents 60 years of age and older who meet eligibility guidelines. The types of food received includes Shelf stable milk, non-fat dry milk, rice or pasta, ready-to-eat cereal, farina, or oatmeal, peanut butter or dry beans, canned meat or fish, bottled juices, canned fruits, canned vegetables, and cheese.

Small monthly mortgage payments including taxes and insurance are repaid over a maximum of 25 years and deposited into a revolving "Fund For Humanity" which supports the construction of more houses.
