Created so that eligible children and adults who have a disability could obtain legal advice and representation to protect and enforce their rights guaranteed by Illinois' mental health laws. Attorneys provide needed assistance to persons with disabilities in a variety of settings:

- Mental health facilities.

- Residential programs.

- Community placements.

- Nursing homes.

Issues addressed include, but are not limited to: admission and discharge from hospitalization, adequate treatment, refusal of unwanted services, and confidentiality of mental health records. Assistance takes the form of information, referral, and legal representation in court hearings and administrative proceedings.

Provides in-home delivery of hot meals 5 days a week. Must be at home to receive delivery.

Helps low-income households increase the energy efficiency of their homes and save money on fuel costs. Typical energy-saving measures include sealing air leaks, installing insulation in attics, walls and crawl spaces, tuning and upgrading heating systems, and installing low-cost energy conservation measures.

The Resident Services Program, offered onsite by a Resident Services Coordinator, provides key activities and supports to residents for health and wellness, education (out-of-school time program), financial stability, housing stability, and community engagement.

Offers supervised living options to people with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Everyone who receives residential services can participate in any of Crosspoint’s community day services, vocational, skills training or therapy services, depending on their needs.

The Clerk of Court is the custodian of all court records in law, equity, probate, criminal, juvenile, adoptions, small claims, and traffic. In conjunction with other county offices the Clerk of Court also draws grand jurors, petit jurors, and talismen. The office also provides assistance and necessary forms needed to file a petition with the court for a legal name change.

Also provides a resource for county residents who choose to represent themselves in court or have questions on divorce, child custody, paternity, and grandparent rights. This office also provides information on legal fees and costs for hiring attorneys. This office does not give legal advice.

Provides the Screening, Assessment, and Support Services, (SASS) program that is a crisis mental health program for children and adolescents. SASS serves children experiencing a mental health crisis. SASS services are available by calling the CARES line.

Prepares formerly incarcerated people for work and helps them transition into their new jobs. Also connects employers to tax credits and incentives for hiring qualified ex-offenders. Re-entry Liaisons are available at IDES’ Illinois Employment and Training Centers and local offices throughout Illinois to help match employers with qualified, formerly incarcerated job seekers.
