Jobs do require remembering instructions, meeting quality standards, attaining the volume of work needed, and completing jobs within the time frames needed for customer delivery or available work hours.

Provides toys for children ages 0-17.  Parent or legal guardian must be present to register children to receive gifts.  If applicant is a foster parent, placement papers or court orders are required.

Provides a health clinic for anyone in need that offers primary health care services with an emphasis on preventative care. Also offers well child and well women exams, laboratory services, as well as treatment of acute and chronic illness including disease management and health education. 

Behavioral Health services are provided by licensed staff, and available to those who need them. Offers individual, couple, and family counseling for children and adults, grief counseling, and domestic violence counseling. 

Provides remedial services that offer in-home skill development services to children who are eligible for Title 19 and have a mental health diagnosis to enhance functioning. Services provided to children and families include; conflict resolution, problem solving, anger management, coping, social interaction, self control, crisis intervention, and communication skills.

Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

- Helps families find a child care provider to meet their needs.

- Assists people interested in starting a home- or center-based child care business. Provides free technical assistance with meeting Iowa regulations, paperwork, and training opportunities to provide quality child care.

- Improves the quality of child care services. Child Care Consultants provide both onsite and virtual visits to answer any questions or provide resources to assist providers in improving their services. Providers can request as many visits as needed to assist them, and it is recommended to have a regular schedule of visits to address ongoing or new needs.

Provides a homeless shelter to those who are homeless or in imminent danger of becoming homeless. Staff members work with clients experiencing homelessness to identify barriers to housing and develop a plan-of-action to get past those barriers. This includes assisting with obtaining IDs, employment training, and utilizing collaborations with several other agencies on site.

Offers information and referrals to additional local community resources that could potentially help residents and visitors of Linn County. 

Provides information on Parkinson's disease, including its causes, symptoms, treatment options, and therapeutic activities to do at home. Also offers resources and insights to foster understanding and awareness about living with Parkinson's disease, promoting positive communication and interaction with individuals affected by the condition.

Promotes preventative healthcare practices including responsible behaviors to prevent unintended pregnancy and reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Provides supervised visitation services for parents and children to spend time together. Visits may take place in the office, which features three large visiting rooms, as well as in the home or community, depending on the needs of each family. All visits are supported by trained staff who ensure safety while fostering a positive and supportive environment for connection.
