Provides information and referrals to area agencies that offer support services to the Washington and Marion County residents.

Provides information to coalition and community members about the substance use problem in the community, state, and country. Information about the consequences of alcohol and/or drug use and addiction the incidence and prevalence of specific drug use. Information is made available through a variety of formats including trainings/workshops, publications, FaceBook postings, and staff presentations to community groups and schools.

In addition, the Coalition provides parents and caregivers with information and resources they need to address alcohol and other drug use with their children including: Tips for talking with children about substance use, what to look for with suspected use, consequences of youth substance use, understanding why children start using drugs, and resources to answer tough questions. The coalition offers parent education classes and can provide help in developing Family Substance-Free Pledges.

Advocacy services for blind and visually impaired individuals.

Monthly meetings in Omaha and Lincoln, call for information.

Counseling services provided by therapists who have specialized in the treatment of sexual abuse.

Counseling includes working through things like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapy, Rape Trauma Syndrome, flashbacks, repeated thoughts and/or memories, anxiety/fear, depression, nightmares, sleep disturbances, eating issues, trust and safety concerns, relationship issues, and self esteem.

Also offers individual and group counseling, children's counseling, and school based services.

Offers gifts and food to those in need for the Christmas 2025 holiday. Reach out to the local County Outreach Office for more information regarding holiday help in the area.

Offers pregnancy testing to anyone needing to take a pregnancy test.

Assists veterans, their widows, widowers, wives, and minor children with filling out forms to enroll in VA Healthcare system as well as burial benefits, education, home loan assistance, VA pensions, and Veterans Affairs Medical Van Available. If a veteran needs a ride to a medical appointment, they may contact the Veterans Affairs Director at 641-373-0349 to arrange transportation with the VA Medical Van.

May also help with referrals to, or with funds, when available for food vouchers, rent and or utility payment and medical expense. 

Comprehensive dental care, including Oral exams, Cleanings, X-rays, Sealants, Fillings, Extractions, Crowns, Dentures and partials, Referrals.

Offering behavioral health services to any adult in need. Services include psychiatry/medication management, individual therapy, adult couples therapy, substance use disorder services/addiction treatment, crisis services (24/7 Crisis Line, Mobile Crisis, CSCBS, Crisis Stabilization Center), assertive community treatment (ACT), case management, peer support, and care team/wraparound services.

Provides care for sexual assault victims. Nurses provide emotional support, a physical examination and wellness check. Will also collect medical-forensic evidence, assist with reporting the crime to police, when requested (mandatory reporting for children), assist with concerns about sexually transmitted infection and pregnancy, and development of a medical follow-up plan.

Provides childhood screenings. Additional services provided include home visits/contacts by a nurse case manager and educational materials about pregnancy, infants and children.

Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities. Provides seniors with volunteers that can take them to necessary appointments.

Provides a directory of Lions Clubs and would refer based on where inquirer lives for possible assistance with glasses and hearing aid needs. Accepts donations of used eyeglasses for third world projects. Also accepts used hearing aids. Eye screenings for children 6 months to 48 months. PROJECTS include an Eye Bank and donor information.

Offers family programs throughout the summer where families can rest and play together in the outdoors.

Families can participate in activities including boats, archery, campfire worship, hiking, and more. Families can also create their own schedule to meet the needs and wants of all members of their family.

Offers a free home assessment, which will install energy-saving products, such as programmable thermostats, ENERGY STAR® certified LEDs, WaterSense® certified showerheads, WaterSense® certified faucet aerators, hot water pipe insulation, air sealing and insulation, furnace tune-ups.

Individualized Treatment Services includes, comprehensive mental health and substance use assessment, counseling services, crisis stabilization, life skills development, and dual diagnosis services.

Substance use treatment services includes, outpatient treatment services, DUI evaluations and risk education, substance abuse education, substance use counseling, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Psychiatric services include, medication assessment, medication monitoring, psychiatric services available in all Sinnissippi Centers' main office locations.
