- Self-Sufficiency: Provides voluntary home visitation services to parents and kinship caregivers seeking to build the skills and mindsets necessary for the complex task of moving themselves out of poverty and finding their path toward upward economic mobility. Utilizing the Mobility Mentoring service model, the program provides flexible one-on-one services to help clients make progress towards personal goals and access resources to meet identified needs.

- Home Visiting Services: Serves low-income pregnant women while the Young Parent Support Program serves pregnant and parenting teens, and young adults ages 25 and younger, residing anywhere within the Omaha-metro area, including Bellevue and Council Bluffs.

- Parents As Teachers: Early childhood home visiting program that improves the early learning, development, and health of babies and toddlers starting as early as pregnancy through kindergarten.

- In home visiting: A trained Family Resource Specialist (FRS) provides weekly home visits where parents learn about the development of their child, from before birth through their fifth birthday. The specialist will also support each family’s goals and connect them with resources in the community to meet their needs.

Good Neighbor Community Center, Inc.

- Non-Perishables: Appointment needed before one can come in for a pantry. Call to make an appointment. If it is an emergency case, individuals must call the center and explain the situation to a staff or volunteer.

- Food Net: Every Sunday at 1 pm-2 pm, Allon Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church is on site hosting Food Net.

- Perishables: Each Monday and Wednesday, GNCC distributes perishable food like fruits, vegetables, bread, milk, etc. between 10 am-12 pm. No appointment needed to come in for perishables, but CLARITY cards are requested or any identification cards to keep position in line. Front door opens at 8 am and everyone is welcome to wait in the building. GNCC distributes non-perishable like canned food, frozen meat, dry beans, pasta, etc. through our Shopper's Choice Pantry. Individuals with appointments are given the opportunity to walk into our pantry and pick out food for themselves depending on their family sizes and the amount of food available. Clients may receive non-perishable food every 30 days.

Additionally, it ensures compliance with laws that mandate minimum standards for home sanitation, maintenance, occupancy, lighting, ventilation, and safety. Health inspectors conduct evaluations to verify the availability of hot and cold water, proper functioning of toilets and sewage disposal systems, structural integrity of roofs and walls, safe repair of interior features, and the absence of pests or rubbish. Citations are issued to landlords who fail to meet these requirements.
