Provides education and consumer assistance designed to facilitate enrollment of county residents in the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace through the In-Person Counseling Program.
Access to health insurance through the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace is one of the many changes in the health care and health insurance fields made possible by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). People in need of assistance due to language barriers, technology disadvantages, or a lack of understanding of health insurance can arrange to meet an In-Person Counselor to assist them.

Nebraska Economic Assistance Customer Service
Financially assists individuals so that they can remain in the most appropriate living arrangement for their individualized needs. Eligible clients can reside in their own home, an apartment, an assisted living facility, a licensed mental health facility, a center for the developmentally disabled, a room and board situation, or in a nursing home.
The AABD program can also, in certain circumstances, provide essential items to qualified recipients such as guardian/conservator fees, home repairs, furniture, appliances, etc.

Provides pre-purchase home buyer classes and counseling help clients decide whether homeownership is the best decision for them. These classes and counseling may also qualify clients for substantial down payment assistance programs.
Foreclosure avoidance and default intervention counseling is designed to help with whatever options there may be to save clients' homes, or get caught up on payments.
Reverse Mortgage Counseling is available for seniors desiring to stay in their homes by using their equity to produce lump sums for current needs, annuity payments and lines of credit for ongoing needs.
