Provides DUI evaluation/risk education, counseling, and substance abuse school-based prevention programs. Outpatient counseling is available for adults and adolescents, and substance abusers or persons whose lives are impacted by substance abuse. Counseling takes place in the form of individual and group counseling, family counseling, and referral to appropriate self-help groups. For adolescents, the Mental Illness & Substance Abuse (MISA) specialist provides age-appropriate and individualized treatment to dual diagnosed adolescents, addressing issues such as behaviors, self-esteem, emotional and physical health, strengths and goals, substance abuse, history, relapse prevention, healthy recovery environments. The Recovery Resource Center is a central point of information to help individuals and families navigate substance use treatment and recovery services. Services include assessments, referral, treatment, and support services.
Catholic Charities - Dubuque
Through a network of volunteer mentors and support groups, the program supports formerly incarcerated individuals as they work toward positive re-entry into family and community life. Program Coordinators and volunteer mentors meet with participants to provide the needed support to resist relapse into old habits and lifestyles. The program helps participants establish positive relationships, experience healthy social activities, and connect with community resources that can aid in finding work, affordable housing, and meeting basic needs.

Routine services such as pap smears, school physicals, prenatal visits, well baby exams, physicals and other routine healthcare procedures. Follow-up visits for patients with diabetes, elevated blood lead levels, hypertension, behavioral health concerns, and other on-going health problems are also routine activities at the clinic.
Health education is integrated into each patient's visit. Nutrition, disease prevention and management are taught to patients individually and in groups. Educational follow-up, care coordination, management and peer education, including care for sexually transmitted diseases, latent tuberculosis, high lead levels, prenatal care, and care for chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and depression).
Specialist referrals for services not available at the clinic are made for all patients. Appointments for patients without insurance and/or limited income are made through Hope Medical Outreach Coalition volunteer physicians and facilities.

DCFS has the primary responsibility of protecting children and strengthening families through the investigation and intervention of suspected child abuse or neglect by parents and other caregivers.
DCFS links families with community services to address struggles families are having, offers preventative services to referred families in an attempt to keep family units together to address findings of abuse/neglect, and works with families who have children under the legal custody of DCFS while working to reunify families when possible or provide a permanent home for children.
As part of its duties, DCFS also licenses and monitors all Illinois child welfare agencies, child care agencies, domestic and international adoption providers, and group homes in the state.
