Offers to match the caller’s legal problem with available resources, such as advice, extended representation, or referral. For most low-income applicants. Callers are screened for eligibility, and a determination is made whether eligible callers have a legal problem that falls within the priorities. If the caller’s legal problem is eligible for review for extended services, the caller is referred to one of our five regional offices. If the callers are not eligible for referral to a regional office, attorneys provide the caller with immediate advice or quick access to other information and resources.
Attorney General - State of Illinois - Northern Illinois Regional Office
Provides victims and concerned citizens with a toll-free number they can call for up-to-date information on the custody and/or case status of an offender. Callers may choose to register for automatic notification through Illinois AVN.
Illinois AVN is also available online at the VINE website, a public website that allows visitors to search for offender custody and case status. Users can also register online for phone or e-mail notification of changes in an offender's custody and/or court case status.
Hearts for Healing
Offers a retreat to caregivers of veterans and first responders. The retreat provides space to rejuvenate and connect with others going through similar situations. The program combines horses and human interactions designed to increase confidence and hope when it comes to caring for loved ones. Retreats are for adults only.

Together - Housing Stability Clinic
Eligible participants who are starting a new job may receive subsidized or free bus tickets or transit passes to use for commuting to and from work until the date of their first paycheck.
Participants interested in the program must arrive at the Housing Stability Clinic during the designated times and state they are there for the bus ticket program.
Participants must be in need of transportation assistance due to lack of access to a personal vehicle, limited public transportation options, or financial constraints.

Provides prompt and effective treatment if someone is experiencing a mental health emergency, such as an emotional crisis or a psychiatric issue needing medical care right away. If someone is experiencing a mental health emergency, please go to the Emergency Department. After being medically evaluated, emergency room staff may decide to transfer the patient to the CSU. Crisis Stabilization Unit located at 7710 John Pappajohn Pavilion (JPP), Level 7, Elevator 1.
