Offers free preschool for the local community.

County level services provide direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service. Must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Sarpy County. Issue Bronze flag holders for Sarpy County Veterans grave sites.

State level services do not require wartime service. Assist in completing applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, and Waivers of Tuition.

Federal level services provide and/or complete Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's death pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones/medallions, educational benefits, home loans, life insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Provides law enforcement to Illinois State University. Offering a full range of police services including training and educational programming to the University and greater community.

Provides physical, emotional and spiritual care for seriously-ill individuals, their families, and their caregivers. Also offer emotional and spiritual support to the patient and their loved ones. Individualized, person-centered care is provided by an interdisciplinary team that consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, counselors, therapists, and certified nursing assistants. On-call nurses are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to answer questions, address needs or concerns, and make home visits. To further support patients and families, Hospice volunteers are available for periodic caregiver respite and companionship. Hospice of Dubuque ensures that patients receive the necessary and appropriate medications, equipment, supplies, and interventions.

Provides early childhood education and summer camp opportunities for children. Y-Tots Preschool has morning and afternoon classes for children ages 3-4. Lovett Child development center offers full time and part time childcare for children ages 2-Pre-K. Before school and after school adventure club        provides childcare and activities for school-aged children. Summer day camp is offered full time and part time for school aged children. 

Provides older adults, seniors, caregivers, and families with finding any type of senior housing. Advisors refer to supportive businesses and organizations such as elder law attorneys, ombudsman, counselors, home care agencies, APS, Medicare experts, etc. Advisors offer referrals for independent living, assisted living, retirement living, senior living apartments, Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, CCRCs, skilled nursing facilities (nursing homes), home care services, home services, rehabilitation, group homes, and emergency placement based on the needs of the client. 

Offers a Partial Hospitalization Program providing psychiatric treatment and care that is a step down from inpatient care, but more involved than Intensive Outpatient Program. Partial Hospitalization Programs typically include psychiatric day treatment, various counseling services, and more. Treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders available.

Provides families with information in Spanish and links them to services in Spanish. Services provided include outreach, advocacy, interpretation, translation services, case management, and information and referrals.

Home delivered meals.

- For residents of Wymore, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Beatrice Senior Center, at (402) 223-3055 or the main office at (402) 223-1376.

- For residents of Palmyra, calls for home delivered meals must be made to the Syracuse Senior Center, at (402) 269-2957.

- For residents of Nebraska City, home delivered meals must be arranged through the city's Meals on Wheels program.

Provides professionally directed evaluation, treatment and recovery services for individuals experiencing mental health or substance related disorders that cause moderate and/or acute disruptions in the individual’s life.

Offers free income tax filing assistance to those who are moderate to low income. For sites taking appointments, scheduling begins mid-January 2026. To schedule an appointment, visit the website.

Helps overcome life's hurts, hang-up and habits, including addictions and undesirable behaviors.

Offers school supplies for children in grades K-12. Students choose items based on their specific school list. Please note that we cannot guarantee all items will be available.

Provides suicide prevention and mental health education at every public middle school, high school, or private schools. Services are designed to teach students on how to practice healthy coping skills, recognize early warning signs of mental health challenges, reach out to trusted adults for help, or connect with school and community resources. 

Administers licenses for beer/liquor, cigarette sales, pushcart/peddler/solicitor/transient merchant/mobile food unit; taxi cab/limousine license, and tow fees.

Counseling services covering a range of topics, including:

- Depression and anxiety.

- Grief and relationship concerns.

- Alcohol and drug use, including opioids and heroin.

- ADHD assessment and treatment.

- Bipolar Disorder.

- Difficult life transitions.

- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

- Health issues related to diet, exercise, tobacco use, etc.

Counseling services also available at certain local schools.

Adult wellness clinic offers full lipid profile (Cholesterol) with glucose, tuberculosis clinic, and immunization clinic.
