For Thanksgiving 2025:
Offers a free meal delivered to older adults, 60 years of age or older (homebound or alone) on Thanksgiving Day. Meal consists of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and more.
Reservations accepted Nov 3 to Nov 20, 2025.
Callers must speak with someone to make a reservation; no voice messages will be accepted. Phone lines are open on weekdays from 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-4 pm.
Meal deliver occurs on Thanksgiving dinner. Applicant must be home to receive the meal (no meals will be left at the door).
Specific delivery times cannot be scheduled. Cannot feed families.

Firefly - Council Bluffs
Works with primary care providers who identify social/emotional or developmental concerns, family stressors, or caregiver depression during well child medical exams. If a condition is identified, the family is referred to a support specialist who provides care coordination. Specialists may provide referrals for developmental screening, mental health or behavioral health services, or other needs, and will monitor the family's progress.

Provides home improvement grants and/or low interest loans to repair deteriorated dwellings. Programs include:
- Minor Home Repair Program: provides grants and forgivable deferred payment loans to correct housing deficiencies of an immediate nature which threaten the health or safety of the occupant of the home or the structural integrity of the building.
- Home Accessibility Retrofit Program: provides grants or loans to eliminate barriers, modify the layout, or add structural accessories/improvements to the dwelling to make it more accessible for occupants with disabilities. May also be used to make "visibility" modification to dwelling units to allow immediate family members with disabilities to visit the subject property.
- Accessory Structure Demolition Program: provides grants or forgivable deferred loans for homeowners to demolish unsafe structures on their property.
- Residential Exterior Rehabilitation Program: provides a 50/50 matching grant or 0% interest loan to repair and bring up to code the living structure.
