Provides several programs that may be able to assist families or individuals that find themselves homeless with no place to stay. This is one of the coordinated entry points for anyone homeless in the area. 

Emergency Shelters may be provided through hotel vouchers when funding is available.

Staff will work with the families/individuals to determine eligibility and will provide case management and assist in locating housing that will meet the household's needs.

Assists households with rent and supportive services while the household participates in case management. Case management will include budget counseling, goal setting, assessment of needs, and referrals.

Support group for blood and marrow stem cell transplant or high dose treatment leukemia patients and caregivers.

Provides supported employment services in small groups or on an individual basis. Services include job coaching, job development, discovery, and employer development. 

Offers confidential testing and treatment for anyone, regardless of where they live, specializing in sexually transmitted diseases.

Utility assistance for low income households, including the LIHEAP program during winter months.

LIHEAP aids qualifying low-income Iowa households (homeowners and renters) in the payment of a portion of their residential heating costs for the winter heating season, to encourage regular utility payments and promote energy awareness, and to encourage reduction of energy usage through energy efficiency and client education.

Mobile crisis response provides immediate services when law enforcement, area shelters, and referrals from The Nebraska Family Helpline are confronted with someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Therapists help resolve an immediate behavioral health crisis to avoid emergency protective custody holds, avoid inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, and link individuals to community services.

Post-crisis services include a 90-day stabilization program offered in partnership with other agencies.

Peer Support Specialists available to those referred through Omaha Police Department officers who encounter individuals in crisis.

Offers both short and long-term experiences for youth. Short-term experiences include afterschool programs, camps, school-sponsored activities, conferences, and other events. Long-term experiences include learning communities in agriculture such as county clubs.

Emergency food for individuals and families.

Medical exchange program for residents. Supplies include: wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, portable toilets, raised toilet seats, shower chairs, and more.

Provides energy assistance for eligible low income families in which a benefit is paid directly to the utility companies on behalf of eligible households, or directly to renters if the utility costs are included in their rent.

Some applicants may qualify for the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP), where an eligible client pays a percentage of their income, receives a monthly benefit towards their utility bill, and receives a reduction in overdue payments for every on-time payment they make by the bill due date. A community-based mentoring program that matches children with adult mentors to spark positive growth and confidence in a fun and exciting way.

Community-based mentoring involves meeting outside the school setting, allowing for activities such as going to the movies, visiting the park, and participating in community events.

Offers a different way of paying for waste collection and disposal services. Residents are allowed one can or bag of garbage per weekly pick up. Any additional can or bag must have a tag attached. These tags for additional cans or bags can be purchased at Casey's General Store on Asbury Road or Asbury City Hall.

Hospice services provide compassionate care for individuals facing a terminal illness, focusing on enhancing quality of life rather than curing the disease.

Services include pain management, symptom relief, emotional and psychological support, and spiritual care for both the patient and their family.

Hospice care is delivered by a team of healthcare professionals (such as doctors, nurses, social workers, and chaplains) who work together to provide comfort and support.

Hospice care can take place in the patient’s home, in a hospice facility, or in a hospital or nursing home, with the goal of ensuring dignity, peace, and comfort during the end-of-life journey.

Provides a group education program for individuals convicted of domestic abuse to address abusive behaviors and promote healthy, nonviolent relationships. Services include separate groups for men and women.

Provides a 72 bed male/female facility that provides highly structured live-in supervision for higher need offenders. Provides an alternative between street supervision and incarceration.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals in Will County, who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

- Driver's Education School is DMV certified; provides evaluation of reaction time, visual perception, and behind the wheel skills. Education and training includes classroom and on-the-road instruction. Offers adaptive equipment evaluation and training.

- Durable medical equipment rent/loan at Grand Island and Scottsbluff locations. Donations of equipment accepted.

- Peer mentoring, where people with disabilities support each other in their daily lives.

- Housing counseling assists people with disabilities in locating, acquiring, and maintaining safe, affordable, accessible housing.
