Offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing  a technique that uses a set of standardized protocols which incorporate elements from many different treatment approaches in the treatment of trauma. EMDR involves three steps which targets past memories, present disturbance, and future actions to alleviate patients symptoms and address the complete clinical picture.

Provides food services to families in need of shelf stable foods. Clients are eligible every three weeks for food boxes, along with dairy and meats. Clients are also eligible for bakery goods weekly. The Jacksonville Food Center relies on local churches, community organizations, and private donations.

Offers veterans (ill or injured post 9/11 veterans within 10 years of discharge) and their families the opportunity to live in a rent-free, single-family home for a period of two to three years while receiving financial counseling and community reintegration support.

Provides donated items such as clothes, shoes, linens, baby accessories, toys, household items, and kitchenware at no cost to individuals in need. The program accepts and distributes a variety of secondhand and new goods, including general clothing, household goods, and cookware, ensuring these items are available for those who require them.

Family Planning services include:

-- Education and counseling directed toward health promotion and disease prevention

-- Breast cancer screening

-- Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia according to the Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines

Blood pressure, weight, height, urine, hematocrit and pregnancy tests are available, if needed.

Public health works with older adults and Elderbridge Area Agency on Aging. 

Provides family case management to help and support income-eligible pregnant women and children. The needs of each family are assessed to determine which services would be beneficial. Family case managers also conduct developmental screenings, maternal depression screenings, and make genetic referrals as appropriate.

Fights type 1 diabetes (T1D) by funding research, advocating for policies that accelerate access to new therapies, and providing a support network for millions of people around the world impacted by T1D.

Outreach program includes the delivery of a Bag of Hope or Adult T1D Kit for families. Mentor families are provided to those newly diagnosed. Support groups for families and adults meet monthly.

Educational brochures and videos, newsletter with information both locally and nationally on fundraising events, research and products.

Offers case management for children and adults who live at home with their families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include in home support, community day and employment services, therapy, navigating the access payment system, or help obtaining adaptive equipment and home accessibility modifications. 

Day care for children ages 2-5; available Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.

Early learning program with an emphasis on the growth of language, social, physical, intellectual, and emotional developmental skills.

After school program provides programming for children in grades K-5. Afterschool PLUS Program available on days when school is not in session (in-service days, teacher conferences, holiday breaks, etc.). Available Mon-Fri 2:30 pm-5:30 pm and Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.

Summer day program provides a variety of activities including field trips, arts and crafts, ceramics, sports and recreational games, picnics, swimming at area pools, summer gardening, and development of writing and reading skills. Available Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.

Down payment and/or closing cost assistance to income-eligible families to enable them to purchase a home.
