OSF Home Medical Equipment helps convalescent individuals of any age remain at home by offering the following (and more):

- Respiratory supplies and services.

- Mobility equipment (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs).

- Bathroom safety equipment and commodes.

- Hospital beds.

In-home delivery, pick-up, education, emergency on-call and repair services are also offered.

Offers sober transitional housing for both men and women who are committed to rebuilding their lives in sobriety. Services include a supportive environment, community attractions, and employment opportunities, and more.

Provides a systemic program transitioning individuals and families from homeless to sustainable living for Des Moines, Lee, and Henry County communities. 

Prosecutes all felony, misdemeanor and traffic crimes within the county, assists those petitioning for Orders of Protection, and goes to court to collect unpaid child support.

Provides a variety of counseling services for adults and children. Topics typically discussed include: depression, anxiety, physical/sexual abuse (victim and perpetrators), relationships, parenting, grief/loss, trauma, family issues, adoption, anger management, conflict resolution, childhood behavioral disorders, stress management. 

Offers a 9-month program designed for individuals affected by the Nebraska prison system who wish to rebuild and strengthen their family connections. Each unit lasts 5-6 weeks, and participants can enroll at any time during the year.

In-person classes occur weekly in Lincoln and Omaha. Space is limited. A meal and child-friendly activities are provided.

Provides city government services to the residents of Guthrie Center.

Provides vocational assessments, job coaching and supported employment services. In addition, support for students with disabilities pursuing post-secondary education is available.

Take out meals to be served to the community.

Provides intensive home visitation services to new and expectant families to strengthen the parent/child relationship, and encourage healthy child growth and development. To nurture parents in their role as the child's first teacher and prevent child abuse and neglect. Home visitation and group parent meetings utilize the Parents as Teachers Curriculum.

Prevents, eliminates, and controls environmental threats to public health.

Inspections are provided for public swimming pools, tattoo parlors, septic systems, private wells, nuisances, noxious weeds, miscellaneous environmental complaints, and environmental disease prevention.

Other services include rodent and pest surveillance, radon and indoor air information (radon kits available for a small fee), and well water testing.

Outpatient counseling services include individual, couple and family counseling, general counseling services, grief support groups, and overcoming anxiety support groups.

Offers support and counseling for those who have a gambling disorder.

Provides clothing for men, women, and children of all sizes. Can also provide, when available, shoes, coats, winter hats, and gloves.

Provides counseling services for both individual treatment and group work. It can be focused on a specific issue or focused on broader patterns of thinking and behavior. Both require an individual to learn new, healthier ways to think and interact.

Online counseling option also available. An online session is conducted the same as an in-person session, with the exception of never having to leave the home or office. The format is face-to-face, in real time, over a computer.

Member-based organization for individuals and organizations interested in community issues related to refugees and immigrants. Meets unfulfilled needs of immigrants and refugees in the Quad Cities, such as english as a second language.

Can assist with applying for resources in Illinois, including SNAP, Medicare/Medicaid, SEAP, etc. Can help you apply for up to $500 to pay for DACA renewal fees.

Offers financial assistance to those that qualify.

Emergency shelter for single men, single women, and families. Meals served to anyone, including breakfast and supper.

Crisis/emergency services for victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.

Services include case management, shelter referral and placement, protection order applications, legal/court advocacy, and initial financial assistance during an emergency (based on availability of funding - might include legal fees, rent/utility assistance, diapers, lock changes, food, etc.).

Housing assistance includes emergency and long term options in a addition to assistance with food, clothing, education, employment, counseling, medical and dental care-with or without insurance, legal assistance to citizens and immigrants.

Provides senior centers and congregate meal sites for seniors ages 60 and over. The locations provide the opportunity to meet other seniors for recreational, social, and educational activities.

Aquatic programs are offered at nearly all area pools that offer instructional programs; the Red Cross serves as a coordinator and can provide information about which programs are available at each pool; programs include: Learn to Swim, Infant and Preschool Aquatic Programs, Lifeguard Training, and Water Safety Instructor.
