Lutheran Family Services - Omaha Behavioral Health
Mobile crisis response provides immediate services when law enforcement, area shelters, and referrals from The Nebraska Family Helpline are confronted with someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Therapists help resolve an immediate behavioral health crisis to avoid emergency protective custody holds, avoid inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, and link individuals to community services.
Post-crisis services include a 90-day stabilization program offered in partnership with other agencies.
Peer Support Specialists available to those referred through Omaha Police Department officers who encounter individuals in crisis.

Mental Health Respite is designed to provide shelter and assistance to address immediate needs which may include case management on a 24/7 basis to consumers experiencing a need for transition to another home or residential setting or a break from the current home or residential setting. Mental Health Respite provides a safe, protected, supervised residential environment on a short-term basis. The intent of the service is to support a consumer through the transition or break, provide linkages to needed behavioral health services, and assist in transition back to the community.

Participants will gain knowledge to improve food quality and learn techniques that support the protection and utilization of food products. The program includes a 6-hour course and certification exam, offering the opportunity to become a certified Food Protection Manager through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Northern Illinois Recovery Center
Offers a drug and alcohol dependency treatment program in which the client commits to stay on campus 24/7 for approximately 30 days. Length of stay depends on each clients unique situation and progress in treatment. Treatment is tailored to the needs of each client. Residential treatment can also assist clients with co-occurring disorders, such as depression, eating disorders, anxiety, and PTSD, in addition to substance use.

Whether researching as an author, educator, student, reporter, curator, archeologist, preservationist, historian or genealogist, research materials are provided on microfilm, and books. Most books are browsable on the shelves.
