When funds are available, one-time financial assistance is available for emergency situations for medications, housing, food, utilities, etc.

Provides information, assistance, and referrals to caregivers of older adults to help with necessary services and supports. Staff can also help the caregiver determine if the person they are caring for is receiving benefits they may be eligible for that could reduce the caregiver's costs.

Provides transportation service to the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (Lovell FHCC) for honorably discharged veterans who have a medical appointment at the facility. The service may include transportation expense assistance, such as financial support or resources for individuals who lack other means of transportation. A family member may be permitted to ride along to assist the veteran.

Provides programs for youth that promote health, social, educational, cultural, leadership and character development.  Youth served are identified as at-risk based on assessments completed that identify such factors as economic level, family status, neighborhood location, and academic progress.

Tax Preparation Assistance offered to low- and moderate-income individuals starting Feb 18, 2026. Site is a walk-in location with limited drop off options. Appointments will be scheduled on-site for individuals who signed in but were not able to be seen. For married filing joint returns, both spouses must be present. Tax site located in the Curris Business Building, Room 223. 

Helps senior citizens, who might otherwise need nursing home care, to remain in their own homes by providing in-home and community-based services. Services include:

- Comprehensive care coordination.

- Adult day services.

- In-home services (cleaning, meals, laundry, shopping/running errands, and personal hygiene).

- Emergency home response service.

- Automated medication dispenser service.

Food pantry offering canned goods to anyone in need. Personal items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc., are also available.

Delivery or pick-up of items is available, by appointment. 

Administers licenses for beer, liquor and cigarette sales, pushcart, peddler, solicitor, transient merchant and mobile food units, taxi cab, limousine license, and tow fees.

LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Also encourages households to make regular utility payments, to promote energy awareness and to encourage reduction of energy usage. All customers applying for this prgram will simultaneously be making an application for weatherization assistance as required by state law. Assistance is based on household income. size, type of fuel, and type of housing. Applications accepted October 1-April 30 for the elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30 for the rest of the households.

Provides programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for everyone. Offered in three broad areas, aquatics - full swim program, health enhancement - personal training, weight management, exercise equipment and youth and family life enrichment - offering youth sports, day camp, and family programs, all of which stress character development such as caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Provides farmer training services to those with an intellectual or developmental disability. The program teaches individuals hands-on agriculture like how to plant, tend, and harvest crops, animal care such as collecting eggs in the chicken coop and feeding the livestock, and farm-to-table cooking lessons to foster independence. 

Offers the YWCA summer camp serving children up to 12-years-old with activities including science, arts and crafts, cooking projects, games and physical activities, weekly field trips, swimming, and more.

Sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public. Donation pick up is also available for free.
