Provides medically accurate, age-appropriate sexual health education for youth; educational programs for parents and caregivers; and professional training and technical assistance for educators, schools, healthcare providers, and youth-serving organizations. Offers workshops, presentations, and educational resources focused on healthy relationships, communication, consent, adolescent development, and sexual health. 

Offers to assist individuals with disabilities with finding and maintaining work. Individuals that are eligible for this program receive assistance from a Job Coach through a work experience that can last up to 6 months. In addition, individuals in this program receive assistance with resume and cover letter development, applying for work, and mock interviews.

Provides foster care programs that are designed to find safe, secure, and nurturing homes for youth. There are four separate programs offered:

-- Relative Foster Care serves children who are placed in foster care with maternal or paternal relatives.

-- Fictive Kin Foster Care serves children who are placed with a non-relative, but the individual has personal or emotional ties with the child.

-- Traditional Foster Care serves children who are placed in non-relative, licensed foster homes.

-- Foster Family After Care serves children who have successfully returned home to their parents. It provides case management and counseling services in order to stabilize the newly reunited family. Services can continue for up to nine months.

Public Library that provides a variety of service such as books, video, DVD, books on CD, and reference services. Also provides computers for public use and internet access. 

Offers 15-minute in-office blood lead testing for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Testing promotes early detection of and referral for treatment of lead poisoning and informs parents/guardians about their children's exposure to lead.

Provides access to a 24 hour helpline with care coordination specialists offering resource referrals, case management and support to Illinois Veterans, family members, or caregivers experiencing emotional challenges associated with PTSD, mild TBI, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and substance abuse. 

Offers library services to the public. 

Offers early intervention services, psychological and developmental assessment available for children with developmental, behavioral, emotional, social, cognitive, or academic issues.

Services include, psychological testing, developmental assessment, diagnosis and follow-up care, assistance in accessing community and educational services, speech and occupational therapies.

Provides a sex education curriculum geared to decrease teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STI), and HIV.

Provides services pre- and post-release to 100 eligible adults in Scott County through a Department of Labor grant. Enrolled participants receive intensive case management, reentry planning, and workforce services which include career exploration, job readiness, occupational training, and employment placement.

Safer works in partnership with the Seventh Judicial District, Iowa DOC to support the reentry of individuals residing at the Work Release Center or Residential Correctional Facility and are scheduled to release between 20 to 270 days of program enrollment. Staff seek to build connections with local employers to assist participants in securing employment with the preparation to meet the needs of the local labor market while building the skillsets valued by employers. Enrollment period ends 12/31/2025.

Offers a two year program for women with or without children. The women will be assisted in setting developmental goals and working with staff to achieve them.There are enhanced programs such as: case management, life skills, parenting support, financial management, education, and employment skills, community involvement, budgeting, homemaking and one-to-one support.
