Offers financial management course developed for families in low-income situations. Clients receive support with basic, technical financial management skills, financial practices and systems.

Accepts sealed, unopened prescription and over-the-counter medications, as well as medical equipment, such as nebulizers and masks, unopened Ensure, ostomy supplies, and unused CPAP machines from nonsmoking households.​

Offers mental health services that includes individual therapy for ages 5 and up, as well as psychiatric services for all ages, offering early intervention services for mental illness.

Offers school supplies for children in grades K-12. Students choose items based on their specific school list. Please note that we cannot guarantee all items will be available.

Dental Clinic:

Provides a full range of dental services for local youth, including:

-- Exams (twice per year)

-- Cleanings

-- Fluoride treatments

-- Sealants

-- Repair of decayed teeth

-- Fillings

-- Some root canals

-- Stainless steel crowns

-- Space maintainers

School Dental Sealant Program:

Conducts visits to all public schools in the area served to provide school dental exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.

Offers mobile crisis response services for individuals in need. Provides services 24-hours a day, including crisis stabilization, pre-admission screening, assessment, case management, community support, and counseling/therapy. 

Offers general assistance for those who do not have the financial resources to provide for their own needs. 

Head Start is an educational program to help prepare children for transition into kindergarten and provides health screenings and nutrients. Transportation is available at most locations. Early Head Start is specific to meet the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Offers home-based options with a weekly visit from a teacher in the family's home along with two special days a month for activities with other families.

Provides city government services to residents of West Des Moines.

Provides an evening meal.

Offers day program services that assist with life skills, vocational training, and community inclusion, to gain greater independence and quality of life.

Services include community based recreation experiences, pre-vocational training, life skills building, and health and wellness activities.

Provides a team of trained volunteers who can mobilize resources to provide post-disaster mental health services. This team is sponsored by the Department of Human Services, Northeast Iowa Behavioral Health and County Social Services.

Provides education services to homebuyers. Services may include pre-purchase counseling for new and first time homebuyers, money management, credit counseling, and post-purchase counseling on non-delinquency topics like improving mortgage terms and home improvement.

County government offices.

Provides free items placed in red carts outside of the building located at 1100 East Adams for the community to come and shop the carts and take items free of charge.
