Provides a cohesive partnership among the communities and Fire Departments to reduce the number of fire injuries and deaths, by providing evaluation, education, and redirection assistance to the children who exhibit fire setting behavior at no cost to the families affected. Free insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIP counselors can:

- Answer questions about Medicare Supplement insurance, long term care insurance, Medicare managed care plans and other health insurance.

- Organize and assist in filing Medicare Supplement claims.

- Analyze Medicare Supplement and long term care insurance policies.

- Appeal claim denials.

Offers recovery home and halfway house options for sober living that help teens, young adults, and adults ease the transition from treatment to everyday life. The program begins with the development of an individualized recovery plan, followed by daily support from a specialized team. Daily schedule and activity accountability and 12-Step meetings add an additional layer of support as clients embrace skills such as:

- Creating a healthy routine;

- Practicing positive coping skills;

- Writing a resume/interview preparation/career coaching;

- Managing personal finances, and more.

Benefits include a structured environment and peer support. Also offers connections to individual and group therapy, as well as life skills training and other educational programs.

Assists with the legal, non-criminal needs of refugees and immigrants in Nebraska that includes visas, information about benefits under immigration laws, proper documentation, domestic violence issues, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

Mental Health services are also available for immigrants, including therapy and group meetings.

Coordinates organ and tissue donation while supporting families of donors in Illinois and portions of Indiana. Streamlines the organ donation process and provides support to both donor and recipient families.

Specific services include:

- Evaluation of donors.

- 24/7 referral coordination.

- Educational programs.

- Registration.

- Lab screenings.

- General help for patients and medical providers involved in the organ donation process.

- Information on the Illinois Organ/Tissue Donor Registry, Donate Life Illinois, and the critical need for organs and tissue.

Offers to assist home owners or renters who have a disconnect notice or have missed a payment on a pay arrangement. Can also assist homeowners who have a back bill. If funds are available, households may receive emergency assistance with furnace repair/replacement (if a homeowner) and/or emergency delivery of deliverable fuel. Clients need to have been LIHEAP approved during our program year (October 1 through April 30) or they can complete a crisis application.

Offers fishing, ATV, Boat and Snowmobile licenses/renewals and a Passport acceptance facility and photo service. Military Records for tax exemptions and benefits also available. Recruits and prepares adoptive families. Offers services for identified adoptions, foster care adoptions, and post placement services.

Administers Head Start, a comprehensive developmental preschool program for children. At the three center locations throughout McHenry County, open enrollment is available at any time and emphasis is on school readiness.
