Offers assistance to honorably discharged veterans and their families in applying for federal benefits, including compensation or pension claims, and benefits available through federal, state, or local laws. Provides emergency financial aid for basic necessities such as rent, utilities, and food. Additionally, supports veterans and their dependents with accessing burial benefits, including burial in national cemeteries, headstones, markers, memorial certificates, burial flags, and funeral allowances. Financial assistance for burial or cremation expenses may also be available to help families manage funeral and interment costs.

Provides mortgage assistance. Individuals must have a default letter either from the bank or the individual that property is being purchased from.

Provides financial assistance to individuals with disabilities and the agencies that serve them in Jo Daviess. The foundation requires the submission of grant applications in order to disburse funds. Immediate need funding requests may be submitted directly to the Executive Director or the Grant/Gifting Chair of the Hope Foundation of Jo Daviess County.

Requests for grants must be related, but not limited to:

- Health.

- Housing.

- Transportation.

- Education.

- Employment.

Provides emergency and short-term shelter for adults and their dependent children fleeing domestic violence. Services include a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, legal advocacy, counseling, art therapy, other supports, community outreach and prevention. 

Provides farmer training services to those with an intellectual or developmental disability. The program teaches individuals hands-on agriculture like how to plant, tend, and harvest crops, animal care such as collecting eggs in the chicken coop and feeding the livestock, and farm-to-table cooking lessons to foster independence. 

Street-based outreach services runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness, near-homelessness, or street dependency.

Drop-in center services include food, basic first aid and hygiene supplies, advocacy, education and information, and referrals to appropriate community service providers. A nurse is onsite three days per week and offers testing for sexually transmitted diseases.

Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent, mortgage interests payments, utilities, and burial expenses may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Provides structured therapy groups or other interventions which help recovering drug and/or excessive alcohol users make the cognitive, behavioral and attitudinal changes that are necessary to prevent them from returning to their previous patterns of use. 

The program helps participants deal in a very focused way with a wide variety of issues that have an impact on their commitment to sobriety and may include topics like exercise, nutrition, boredom, addictive behavior, looking forward, work and recovery, guilt and shame, the role of 12-step programs, staying busy, truthfulness, trust, repairing relationships, anger management, money management and dealing with feelings.

Offers a durable medical equipment loan closet. The DME loan closet is open every Tuesday and Thursday 1 pm-3 pm. Equipment is on a first come first serve basis. Donations of clean and gently used items may also be donated during regular hours of the DME loan closet. 

Community action agency.

Provides the city government departments and other city information.

Provides a barrier-free access to immunization services for children of 2 months to the of age of 18.  Also offers immunizations for adults. 

Engages clients in structured activities centered on personal choice, individualized care, and goal setting. The program offers social interaction and community engagement. Typical activities range from day trips and volunteering with local organizations to working on personal goals like self-advocacy, health monitoring, and adaptive skills.

Empowers people with disabilities to attain new skills and techniques so they are able to participate in daily living, recreational/social opportunities, and vocational/volunteering activities. Services work to assist people in mastering skills they need to live independently, like accessing public transportation, managing a personal budget, promoting self-advocacy, teaching home-making skills, utilizing community services, and obtaining assistive devices and durable medical equipment. 

Offers a food pantry to the community, with the aim of providing relief to individuals and families in need of nutritional assistance.

Childhood immunizations, some adult immunizations, flu, and Covid immunizations. Breastfeeding assistance and education, parenting classes, TB treatment, and assisting families in finding medical and dental care. Case management is provided to reduce lead and other household environmental exposures, such as Radon.
