Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals, providing comprehensive training on food hazards, proper food handling practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne-illness outbreaks. 

Offers supportive care. Patients may receive visits or phone calls from a nurse practitioner, a nurse, or a social worker. Supportive care offers visits at FHN offices and at FHN Memorial Hospital, in long-term care facilities, and in the home for those unable to travel to the clinic due to physical disabilities or distressing symptoms.

Classes are available for individuals of all ages and skill levels, ranging from introductory to advanced topics, including the use of smartphones and online publishing tools like blogs, vlogs, photo sharing, podcasting, and wikis.

Maintains official real estate documents, contracts, articles of incorporation, partnerships, state tax liens, military records, birth, divorce and death records/certificates. Offers marriage licenses and accepts Passport applications with photo services. Military Records for tax exemptions and benefits also available.

Provides substance abuse evaluations and then referral to treatment appropriate to the client's needs.

Offers Adult Outpatient Treatment support groups that meet weekly, and Extended Adult Outpatient Treatment that meet three times a week for two hours per session for eight weeks and is followed by an individual aftercare group. The program consists of a combination of education, group, and individual sessions. AA and/or NA attendance is necessary in addition to the treatment hours. Individual sessions are provided as part of Aftercare planning and based on the individual's need. Aftercare Services provides structured group therapy on a weekly basis for individuals that have completed treatment with any agency. The focus of this group is recovery issues. Discover Program is an early intervention modality for adolescents who are or have the potential for developing an abuse pattern of chemical use and have issues such as self esteem, decision making, peer pressure, and help with communication skills. DUI Assessments are completed to determine an individual's educational and treatment needs. DUI Remedial Education class educates clients on the effects of alcohol/drugs, including the physical effects, the disease concept of alcoholism, DUI laws, and alcoholism as a family disease; meets on four consecutive Monday evenings.

Provides fundraising to support local programs and projects to enhance the community and future for the children of Freeport.

Offers FIP (Family Investment Program) a cash assistance program for children and their families who have low income, also available to relatives caring for children whose parents are not in the home. The goal of FIP is to help families leave poverty and become self supporting, can participate for up to 60 months. FIP is Iowa's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

Provides independent living skill instructions to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Skill development instructions include individual health care needs, financial benefits counseling, job development skills, household management, personal/interpersonal skills, and self care skills that assist people with disabilities to manage daily living tasks in ways that are safe and effective.

Supported community living for people with disabilities. Children and adults learn things like how to balance a checkbook, brush their teeth or set a shower schedule, make new friends, be safe in their community, communicate with others, etc. The goal is for people to achieve their own goals of independence. Services are available daily or hourly with Medicaid waiver.

Provides outpatient services to enhance emotional health.

Travelers Aid may help with a voucher from the Salvation Army (when funds are available) for a tank of gas if person is on the highway outside Omaha city limits.

Offers HAWK-I which provides the CHIP benefits (Children's Health Insurance Program) which offers health care insurance coverage for Iowa children in families with limited incomes. Depending on the size of the family Hawk-I is from free to no more than $40.00 per month; See website for income guidelines.

Connects families to practical support, trained mentors, and temporary child hosting through local churches.

- Child Hosting: Offers temporary care for children, giving parents time to stabilize and do the work needed to bring their children back home.

- Parent Mentoring: One-on-one guidance for parents, giving them practical tools and strategies to strengthen their family, to encourage parents, and to promote healing.

- Tangible Needs: Provides practical support for parents and children, including beds, car seats, backpacks, and more.

Law enforcement agency.

Families are given a personal case worker to help assess the causes and symptoms of the current issues. From here, a personalized action plan is mapped out in order for the family members to learn how to achieve their goals. Along the way, the family is not only connected to The Salvation Army's resources, but also to other outside resources that benefit their personal growth and support.

All locations offer cardio and weight equipment, as well as a range of group-exercise classes (including chair-assisted and fall prevention), open swim, swim lessons, open gym, youth sports, and summer day camp.

- The Buena Vista YMCA Express is a wellness floor located on the Buena Vista High School campus, for ages 14+.

- The Westview YMCA offers youth sports and sports camps. Located at Omaha Public School’s Westview High School.

- The YMCA Healthy Living Center is an adult-only location for individuals 30+, with a therapeutic pool and a variety of classes and equipment, as well as social clubs and activities for older adults.

- The Charles E. Lakin YMCA offers eSports.

- The Butler-Gast YMCA and Downtown YMCA locations offer youth sports and hosts practices and games.

- The Gretna Crossing YMCA has eGYM equipment and a splash pad and is part of the Gretna Crossing Park, offering trails, a disc golf course, and a water park.

- The Blair Family YMCA offers a fitness center, pool, and many activities for youth and adults regardless of ability to pay.
