Provides mental health support services to children and youth. Services include crisis intervention, short-term stabilization where a child is at risk of self-harm, or harming others, individual and family psychotherapy/counseling, mental health assessment, case management and resource linkage assistance, and psychiatric services.

Offers a variety of activities for all ages including aquatics (offering swimming lessons), fitness classes, dance/gymnastics, youth sports and adult recreation programs, along with daily child care. The Y’s fitness amenities include a 25-meter indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room, more than 50 land and water exercise classes, an indoor track, two gymnasiums (basketball, volleyball, pickleball), two racquetball courts, free weights and nautilus weight room, and cardio theater (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair climbers, 7 TVs with cable).

Free white cane available to any blind or low vision individual in the United States, regardless of ability to pay. Individuals may request a cane as often as every six months. The cane is a straight white fiberglass cane.

Offers law enforcement services to the Carroll County area. Issues gun/firearm permits, runs requested background checks, and manages the county Jail.

Offers residential treatment program providing individualized assessment and service plan to help youth develop higher levels of personal accountability, congestive self-control, and personal coping skills.

Offers Medical Case Management for people living with HIV/AIDS. Provides connection to low-cost HIV medical care and medication services. Once enrolled, transportation assistance may be available for medical appointments, lab visits, and pharmacy trips. Food vouchers and access to local food pantries may also be available. Referrals to lawyers, legal organizations, and other supportive services can be provided.

Helps homeowners and tenants save their homes through available legal strategies, including foreclosure defenses in court, bankruptcy, income generation, loan modification, and various alternatives to foreclosure.

Helps with subsidized housing (public housing, Section 8 and other rental assistance) evictions, termination of assistance, rent calculations, and admissions issues, evictions from mobile home parks, evictions by private landlords, discrimination and disability accommodation (see Fair Housing Project), foreclosure, property tax, and other homeownership issues, and housing protection for seniors, veterans, and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Provides a website offering the following substance use information:

- Medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction.

• Drug addiction facts and risks, including how heroin changes the brain.
• Myths about heroin and individuals who use heroin.
• Symptoms of heroin withdrawal.
• Warning signs of drug use.

Provides divorcing parents the opportunity to learn about and discuss the effect that divorce and changing family situations has on children.

Parents may not attend sessions together. Children or unregistered adults are not permitted to attend sessions.

Provides substance abuse treatment services to children and adults. Services include assessments, counseling and outpatient treatment options.

Provides pre-trained volunteers through a partnership with Story County Emergency Management to staff a Volunteer Reception Center during natural disasters or public emergencies. Volunteers also assist in Public Health emergencies and support the Story County Sheriff's Office by staffing a Tip Hotline for missing or abducted persons cases. Additionally, the program encourages older adults to contribute their experience, skills, and talents to address community challenges, aligning with initiatives such as the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) to support local nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based organizations.

Provides work training services for individuals with intellectual, developmental, learning, medical, or physical disabilities as well as substance use and mental health disorders. These work training activities are paid work and non-competitive. Participants are provided with opportunities to explore their personal vocational interests, develop skills, and receive assistance in obtaining competitive community employment. 

Independent organization within the IRS.  Helps taxpayers whose problems with the IRS are causing financial difficulties, such as not being able to provide necessities like housing, transportation, or food; taxpayers who are seeking help in resolving problems with the IRS; and those who believe an IRS system or procedure is not working as it should.

If a client qualifies for help, advocates work with the IRS to resolve issues.
